Heard this elsewhere and tracked it down. Apparently goes back to about 2000. Found it quite hypnotic to play in the background. Unusual, like it.

Manchester Orchestra's fourth album. Some good stuff on it but in general a bit too heavy for me, and nowhere near as well thought out as their usual output. Maybe they just wanted to make a noisy album? :conf:

FACT magazine have released their 100 greatest albums of the seventies. Always find something new and interesting on these lists, so will be working my way through it in due course. Throbbing Gristle to kick off.

Eric Clapton (& friends) 'the Breeze'

A tribute to a muse & mentor, JJ Cale.

Very mellow.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

6 Music are currently playing to death songs by a young lady by the name of Annie Eve. Definitely warrants further investigation, especially as I'm struggling to make my mind up about her. :?

Found out today that Dorian Cox (who was in a band called the Long Blondes and had a stroke, forcing them to quit) is back making music. Good on the lad. Think Brucy might like their name :)
