yes - spot on!Always hopeful wrote:So its more like a look of "Can I have a go at his mister, or would you rather use your more superior age based knowledge and experience of paper folding to belittle me in front of everyone"?thebish wrote:that's because we had not yet reached the part where pulling the two corners magically reveals the boat!Always hopeful wrote:^^^ That's definitely not a look of amazement. Pity? Yes. Amazement? No.
and - he's enthralled - not terrified!
also - time was short and he was fecking crap at folding!

ha ha ha... dear darling unborn child... commitment and loyalty are important qualities in a human being. Therefore - prior to your birth - on your behalf, I have committed you to a lifetime of supporting Bolton Wanderers. It will be miserable at times. It will be miserable a lot of the time. It truly will test your commitment and your loyalty. But... occasionally... it will provide a truly wondrous moment. Plus it will give you something to talk to your granddad about when you are a pain in the bum teenager...

In with a chance, I reckon...

Not coz it's Bolton, but I do believe in loyalty and a sense of doing what's right. Not what's easy.

Yep. It's not just a love of the game, or even the club, that we supporters take when we go to the match. In one sense I am taking my whole family, stretching back to back of beyond (we have a season ticket for 1926 in our family - it belonged to my father's great aunt). There are memorial bricks to three of the dead of my family already - and to more of my friends - outside the Reebok. And I take the nine year old me, standing on the Embankment in 1958 with my dad, to each and every game. I like this. Very much.bobo the clown wrote:

I know there are many that would think this stupid or absurd, but following the Whites is a serious part of who I am.
