(for those interested in certainty I cannot say how accurate or likely this is - it is gossip/tittle-tattle/hearsay)
From what I can gather there was a very poor Craig Davies look-a-likie sat behind one of the dugouts.

However, those requiring pictorial evidence of same can go and feck themselves with a ragman's trombone, frankly. :)

Would be happy to see Mason back IF Freedman can find someone to play upfront alongside him, when he played on his own during his first spell he was like a lost little boy.
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

BEN says Mason deal is close, although Cardiff want him to sign a contract extension before he goes out on loan so that could delay it slightly.

A large part of me wants us to lose this one. He did well 2nd time round, but we want the next best thing to the Juke, not the guy who does bugger all without him. Unless Dougie has some new masterplan, which I hold out no hope for.

Surely Mason would be better than nowt? We're getting to the stage where nowt becomes a distinct possibility.

Sign him up on a long term loan though and then he's it. I'd rather wait and see who else is out there. We know what he can (and can't) do.
Also without Juke Dougie has shown no sign of being able of getting the best out of us as an attacking force, accepting the limitations of certain players.

Signing Mason does not stop us signing someone else too.

Anyhow Nixon saying that Mason isn't close, and neither is anything else. Sounds like we are playing the waiting game.

Good, just because we missed our main target I'm glad we're not blowing the rest of our limited budget on a Coyle-style panic buy.

From what has been said by Iles et al pre season it sounds like Wilkinson is the only young striker we've got who realistically is close to being ready to playing in our first team.

But as said by Iles Dougie feels many of the youngsters need to go on loan somewhere where they can play regularly for experience.
