Not necessarily transfer-related to us, but does anyone know if Knight, Eagles, N'Gog et al have found new clubs yet or are they completely off the radar now they've done their wonders for us?

Basically I just wanna laugh at whoever is more stupid than us for picking these guys up...

Just spied this :D

Danny Wilson is reportedly hoping to add former Bolton Wanderers defender Zat Knight to his Barnsley squad.

Not surprised to be honest, who'd be daft enough (other than Barnsley... they're welcome to join in the Knightmare) to sign them after their showings for us...

I hope they do find a club. I wish them well. However, this all flies in the face of people who thought DF had a great squad working with last season. These players should be walking into other premier league teams if they were THAT good.

Well yes. We were left in a total mess when Freedman took over. With players who were paid, massive sums relative to their talents with bad attitudes and poor form. Plus by all accounts an absolute shambles behind the scenes.

This should not disguise or excuse that Freedman has made his own mistakes and undoubtedly last season was a dreadful time until January onwards but I think it is completely disingenuous to say we were anything other than a total shambles when he arrived and most of that mess was tied up in contracts.

The way I see it is that it is incredibly frustrating. Had we got a manager in such as Freedman when the budget was there to spend on the likes of NGog and Sordell I think we'd have been miles better off as a club. We might still be in this league, but far further along to road to a recovery than now. As it is the organisation and restructuring of the football club, which isn't all down to Freedman, is taking place when we have very few resources to committ to it so the pace is slow. In effect we're closing the stable door well after the horse has bolted. Which is a shame.

I believe in the structure the club are putting in place in terms of sports science and more advanced fitness and medical procedures along with the information analytics side. I think it is the right way to go. My hope is that it is put in place properly so that it continues manager to manager. Because that will be the acid test of whether we are moving in the right direction. The club needs a direction and purpose that continues when managers change. Not the wholesale changes every single time.

Another Wanderers site has mentioned this but Modou Barrow, who was with us for a trial has suggested via Twitter that he wouldn't mind a move to Bolton.

I doubted it at first but I've seen the Twitter feed and a couple of Wanderers fans ask him specifically about a move and suggests that he wouldn't mind playing for us.

Only problem beyond that is that his agent happens to be one Willie McKay.

My stats were once 32 in 20 for Bembridge. And that was from left back. I wouldn't say I was any good though...................

Nixon and Iles both saying there is no chance of Barrow happening. They were at the Macron today with Freedman for the press day.
