He went back weeks ago.

Basically I just wanna laugh at whoever is more stupid than us for picking these guys up...
I hope they do find a club. I wish them well. However, this all flies in the face of people who thought DF had a great squad working with last season. These players should be walking into other premier league teams if they were THAT good.
Well yes. We were left in a total mess when Freedman took over. With players who were paid, massive sums relative to their talents with bad attitudes and poor form. Plus by all accounts an absolute shambles behind the scenes.

This should not disguise or excuse that Freedman has made his own mistakes and undoubtedly last season was a dreadful time until January onwards but I think it is completely disingenuous to say we were anything other than a total shambles when he arrived and most of that mess was tied up in contracts.

The way I see it is that it is incredibly frustrating. Had we got a manager in such as Freedman when the budget was there to spend on the likes of NGog and Sordell I think we'd have been miles better off as a club. We might still be in this league, but far further along to road to a recovery than now. As it is the organisation and restructuring of the football club, which isn't all down to Freedman, is taking place when we have very few resources to committ to it so the pace is slow. In effect we're closing the stable door well after the horse has bolted. Which is a shame.

I believe in the structure the club are putting in place in terms of sports science and more advanced fitness and medical procedures along with the information analytics side. I think it is the right way to go. My hope is that it is put in place properly so that it continues manager to manager. Because that will be the acid test of whether we are moving in the right direction. The club needs a direction and purpose that continues when managers change. Not the wholesale changes every single time.
To do that you need half decent managers, something we have not had!
Dugout is a dog that will be seen wanting this season.

From what I've read if you divided that figure by ten or more it might have been the sort of value we'd have been interested in.

I doubted it at first but I've seen the Twitter feed and a couple of Wanderers fans ask him specifically about a move and suggests that he wouldn't mind playing for us.

Only problem beyond that is that his agent happens to be one Willie McKay.

who the tish-tosh is Modou Barrow?
The Stepover King of Swedish Championship. We had him on trial during our tour of Scandinavia

BEN says we've accepted bids for Eaves & Bolger from MK Dons & Southend respectively. Both permanent deals and Freedman happy to let them go.

DF seems to think so as he states he'll be inserting a sell on clause in both deals and also said he's staggered that the club hasn't done it with more ex players.

So am I. Then again I'm staggered that we signed Cian Bolger for good money if I recall and he's never even come close to even looking like breaking into the squad.

Still, two out ... two new World beaters in I guess.

Listed as undisclosed on TransferLeague. I always think when clubs use undisclosed it means either selling or buying club are embarrassed at the price! Eaves is listed as having cost 200k BTW.

Quite shockingly, the BEN says we bought Eaves for £1m
Would expect that to be made up of add-ons (hopefully) and that we wouldn't have paid it all (hopefully again).

Fairly sure 200/250k was mentioned at the time. I'm not sure he's done anything to merit "add ons" unless they were for turning up for training.

The main add on was 'don't score a hat trick against BWFC in pre season'.

The mind boggles that we signed a player who'd barely played a first team game at that point at any level simply because he scored a hat trick against us.

It was a fairly easy hat trick too, from the performance we put in.

100% agree. I'm still 100% convinced that there was no scouting of Eaves prior to that game or even after it and that we signed him on the back of that 1 performance. It's still quite unbelievable.

DOUGIE Freedman wastes no words as he sums up why Wanderers are currently treading a tight financial tightrope in the transfer market.

Diminished parachute payments and the spectre of Financial Fair Play rules have all taken their toll on the budget available to the Whites boss since he walked through the door – but the actual reason as to why the coffers are bare is actually much more simple.

“We are financially restricted,” he told The Bolton News. “Let’s be very honest – because the money has been blown.”

2 out and 2 in?

Ameobi and Mason? ITK

Here's the BEN report on Eaves and Bolger: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... _/?ref=mac" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Pfffft.

He's right. Players like Spearing, Baptiste, Beckford, Tierney all on Premier league wages. The resigning of Premier League failures like Ream and Wheater. Players like Bolger who were never even close to the first team. The list goes on. And no noticeable upturn in results.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
