BWFC branded stuff

Post by thebish » Mon Aug 04, 2014 11:23 am

inspired by a conversation on another thread.... I thought it would be interesting to ask:

what BWFC merchandise (of any kind - official or unofficial) do you own?

I have...

3 shirts
the JJ hat
the TW JJ t-shirt
the TW youri t-shirt
a mug that GG gave me
a calendar that GG gave me
a big hard-back book of old bolton newspaper clippings that my church in Upmister gave me
a set of bwfc programme-cover-themed slate coasters that the church in dartmouth gave me

i think that's it...

My prized possession is a Super John McGinlay T-shirt and BWFC sub hat from the '92-'93 season.

Merchandise as opposed to memorabilia (programmes and such)

All the replica shirts going back to 93/94 season
Various bespoke shirts (from T-W) Super John McGinley and the SKD England shirt
A 'Working Class Hero' mug from Wanderersways
Three official books
A signed football
A BWFC MBNA credit card
Three baseball caps
Three BWFC shop bought t-shirts

That's as much as I can recall at the moment.

Yep. I have the TW SKD t-shirt, a scarf, and 3 away shirts.

The 'normal'-ware is tacky. Even if the clothing was good quality, I'd still never be seen dead in it by virtue of it being a proper item of clothing with a BWFC badge on it! It's like those inexplicably awful bits of clothing all the high street retailers do with union jacks stitched on the pockets. They've only even been bought by mums for birthdays. Makes me shudder.

My dad wears them though...so maybe it comes to us all.

The last shirt I bought was the one with one blue sleeve, about ten years back. Still got it, so don't need another, and it gets worn on (few and far between) special occasions.
Still got the SKD shirt produced here but consider it bad luck now and have not worn it since W*mbley.
A half and half scarf from our heady European days and the game with Sporting.
Got a couple of commemorative cups, one from the 72/3 third division championship season and the other from our 1st Division championship year, 96/97.
A few books, the Simon Marsland one and the Tommy Banks one, possibly another somewhere.
And.... I think thats about it.

Some scarves.
Once had a car freshener.

I've told folk to stop buying me tat, so I don't expect the list to grow...

2 x Mugs (one at home and one right here)
Various shirts dating back to and including both the white one and the yellow one from when Reebok first sponsored us (Matchwinner)
TW SKD Munich T Shirt
TW Super John T Shirt
TW Big Sam T Shirt
Half Marseilles - Half BWFC scarf
Two baseball caps
One wooly hat
One old style blue and white striped scarf.
Three official books
A BWFC mouse mat
A BWFC cushion
A BWFC reversible coaches coat
And, somewhere, I still have one of those blue, white and red run-out tops that Rioch's lot used to run out in (Again, sponsored by Reebok but made by Matchwinner)
Oh, and two pairs of socks.

I have a couple of old shirts from the early 90's.

Have a signed shirt from when Anelka joined.

Other than that a couple of the Reebok training tops as they are very comfy!

Think I also own a BWFC mug which I received as a leaving present from a past job but no idea where it is.

Oh yeah, my favorite piece of BWFC memorabilia is an unauthorised mug that an old friend got from me. Its custom made by an actual potter on a potters wheel and hand painted, and therefore is not officially endorsed. Am I in trouble now?

I should imagine so. I'll be in an adjoining cell with my transferred-to-DVD Roadrunner vids.

I've got a shirt somewhere signed by Per Frandsen and I think Delroy Facey or someone else who never made it.

White shirt, yellow shirt, blue training top, tobacco tin and lighter (not official), few badges and still have the autograph of Tommy Banks who came to our swimming gala in 1958. 8)
