Think he'll go

Lonners; Kev, Mills, Ream, Moxey; Spearing, Medo; Feeney, Chung-or-Mavies, Danns; Beckford. Hall & Wilkinson to come off the bench, along with Mavies-or-Chung.

I'd be tempted to play @Dannzy1 deeper so we could have Chung-and-Mavies; I'm aware that would be basically 4-2-4 but it didn't do Roy's boys any harm in Brazil, did it? Eh?

Mark Davies has a broken toe.

Pratley will play I suspect.

Wouldn't be surprised to see that. We looked pretty solid but really lacking creatively against Vitesse so would rather not have Danns on the wing.

Maybe, if you want to find out who's starting, you could go into the pub on Saturday and start shouting "Who's starting - are YOU starting?". Possibly tapping your questionee vigorously in the chest and glaring at them, to let them know you want an answer.

Let us know how you get on.

Alternatively, I'd guess he'll play:
Lonnergan; McNaughton, Ream, Mills, Moxey; Spearing, Super Summer Signing Liam Trotter; Creativity's Neil Danns, Midfield General Darren Pratley, Unbelievable Pace's Liam Feeney; Beckford.

The excitement is, if not killing me, at least causing me mild discomfort.

Point of order here, Puskas. That's 'Luxury Summer Signing Liam Trotter' I think you'll find.

I think he has a broken toe.

So probably not.

Lee might, though....

Hmmm - "Super" makes it alliterative.

It could be Luxury Lounge Lizard Liam Trotter....

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Now look here, you. I have independent verification.

Trotter, in particular, seems to be a luxury signing for a club who already have Davies and Pratley on their books.

Some years ago, I suffered from the delusion that I should do sports. This was obviously before I'd come to the sensible realisation that life is so much better spent sat in your pants on the coach, troughing pies, smoking crystal meth, drinking Brasso from the tin and watching repeats of "Brit Cops - Zero Tolerance".

Anyway, I broke my little toe on several occasions. Painful, and unlike breaking your big toe, it doesn't even get strapped up. You're just left to limp. So I lumped for two or three weeks and didn't get back to sport for about four weeks.

None of which is to say that Mark Davies would be the same, or that he won't play. I'm merely trying to provide some justification for my opinion that he won't. In reality, I have no idea and am merely speculating on the basis of incomplete information.

Mavies' toe ain't all that much of a problem. Explaining his absence, Freedman said something like "Saturday came too soon after Wednesday," which might suggest a calendar or desk diary is in order... :D I'd be slightly surprised if he's not in the frame for Saturday.

Sadly, Will, I am not: away en famille. Would have been lovely to catch up, and will be lovely to do so soon.
