100% agree with Dibble. He'll at least get the transfer windows ( he shouldn't do, but he will). Wonder if today's result will open up the coffers a bit.

It's way too soon, simply unfair to want the clueless chancer out, isn't it ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He shouldn't be here but they won't sack him.

His contract will just run out.

Hopefully he wins manager of the month for 9 months straight :conf:
Sadly, I suppose that's as realistic as Freedman being sacked soon. For whatever reason, his absolute failure as a manager in every aspect isn't being punished.

Tactically useless, poor in the transfer window regardless of budget, a divisive character and taking us nowhere. He should have gone a long, long time ago before he did the damage he did. I pity the manager who has to repair this mess.

Be fair. He's not done too badly in the transfer market. Trotter aside, most of them have done reasonably ok. I'd rather give him money to spend than Coyle...

wouldnt bet on that

Sir Claps-A-Lot got an extension here after relegating a team that was a 'constant' top flight team. if they give douglas a 20 year contract tomorrow, that decision will still be a distant second to the coyle one , in the stupid stakes

Jeeeeeeeez feck* Christ. The nice person needs sacking. The fact he's not means the management above him is culpable

Bury have a very good record of getting opposition managers sacked the following day.

Just sayin'.

You know, it might just be worth the stick we'd get off both their fans.

Can't see any less than 10 games though, unless we were pointless after 7/8...

Looking at Freedmans post match comments.
“Defensively, our performance was very uncharacteristic of us,” Freedman said after the game. “That’s where we have lost the game today.
Pretty sure these were the sort of mistakes we were making last season. Hardly uncharacteristic now is it?

All in all it's the start to the season that I expected. We're lacking edge up front and defensively we're prone to mistakes. We've had this for four to five seasons now.

We're seemingly not heading in the right direction. I don't necessary think that its Freedman's fault but I don't think he's fixing the matter either.

Just been viewing some old performances on you tube, under various managers. We had heart, lots of fight and a siege mentality about us. Even when that cock Barry Knight and his right hand man Magilton, cheated us out of a play off final place, we still looked like we could take on the world. Loved reminiscing about being at and beating Arsenal in the cup when they were cup holders and meeja darlings. Now we worry about taking on the likes of Yeovil or Doncaster. Brought a tear to my eye.......... I just can't see our current managerial set up or players ever getting anywhere near that level of performance or instilling excitement amongst Wanderers fans.

The club has a massive malaise around it. Comes from the top and makes its way down to the rest of the club.

Financially we're in a bad position. Fans are not enjoying what they see and it doesn't look like there is an end to our downward spiral, at least not in the short term.

It would be nice to get a reason to be positive. We've not had one of those for a while.

Come on guys at least give him a full season, a decent preseason, time to sort Coyle's mess out, the first ten games, til he bloods the youngsters, time for his tactics to work, when it his squad, until his contract runs out.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Lots of comments extended from last season, most haven't posted during the 'Closed season' so puzzled why they haven't posted hope or despair when the rest of us were posting in the hope of a better season. Cock up today, but let's see what occurs in the ensuing 10 or so matches. Failing that we can all roll over and support the Mancs. Tin foil hat on! 8)

I've been in the marginally hopeful view for most of the off season. Nice that he's signed the players from last season that did well and it's nice that we've kept a fair amount of solidity. It seems though that its going to be a case of wait till the end of the transfer window before our season can really get going. I reckon we had a lot of hope pinned on getting Mason and Jutkiewicz back but both ships have sailed from the looks of it.

Too soon to tell how our season will progress. However comments from Freedman saying how uncharacteristic our defending was is a little hard to take seeing as its the same mistakes that cost us last season.
