I've not written him off yet. He was absolute dogshit when played behind the strikers, like SO bad, but, he was one of our better players against Charlton away when played in the deeper position. Not sure he'd be first choice, but he's shown more than fecking Pratley anyway!

↑↑↑ yeah, right. .... I suppose Dougie could pick him "to do the Dannzie role" while the game changing Danny stays on the bench !

But Dougie is nothing if not one to prove himself right (even when wrong) so you may have a point.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

An accolade already awarded (by Bruce Rioja) to Moxey... We have serious competition for that fine achievement!

Trotter can actually pick out a pass and weight it properly. Not every time like, but enough to warrant a raised eyebrow. He's not exactly dynamic and I feel could use his physique a little more but I'd say he was on a different planet to Pratley last night. Dazza seems to have taken several steps backwards sadly.

Odd penalty, the kind you'd be irked to concede. Which is good.

Comical second goal, bouncing off the defender and trickling over the line, the kind you'd be irked to concede. Which is good.

Lovely third goal, top-corner free kick, the kind of goal which makes you concede that your opponents are much better than you. Which is good.

Been to both games this season and Trotter's last night is nowhere near the bottom of my imaginary performance chart. This, and the fact that he was indeed miles better than Pratters, does not mean that he is a sudden superstar, but using him as a scapegoat is a nonsense.

ahh - but trotter was cast in that role long before the season started - can't undo that now!

Pleased to see you were paying attention.

His major weakness is that he's a Freedman signing.

But, but Dougie picks his team six weeks in advance so it's only fair the boo-boys do the same with their scapegoats isn't it?

This was their chance to stake a claim for a first-team berth against Forest on Saturday. A chance to overwhelm and control opposition two professional rungs below us. They were gobshites. Pure and utter gobshites who can not be arsed.

Plus. The fecking car-park fee is now £7. Absolutely rotten to the core. Toss everywhere, pure toss.

We were shite. Massively so. At no point did it look like we had control of the game, against a Bury team 2 leagues below. I'm happy we won, but this is most definitely in spite of Dougie, rather than because of him.

No. Really, it's not.

Danns was a Freedman signing, so was Feeney and Mason mk2, Juke was ... & would have been (though tbf so was Mason mk1). Trotter's main weakness is being too slow to read the game. Almost dyslexic to be honest. It's like watching a person stood in the middle of a pin-ball machine. now and again the ball will stick as it goes to him, but normally it shoots past him as he watches it.

If you didn't criticise them on her, you realise we'd be top of the league, don't you?

So you see, its all your fault really. I hope you're happy with yourself.

TBF, I saw him at home to Watford when he came on and played behind the strikers and it was one of the worst cameos I think I've ever seen. He just had no idea what to do playing that position. Everything he did was wrong. Our Kid says he was the same in the next couple of home games, so he's starting from a justifiably low starting point. Having said that, every time I've seen him play deeper he's been 'fine' at worst. Certainly not someone you'd pick out as being worse than the rest. As long as he only plays deeper I think he'll be fine. Might be a better option than Medo alongside Spearing given those two don't work together.

So, Dougie Freedman, you've got three attempts at talking some sense after a game in which your team have scraped an extra time win over the local povvos from two flights down. Give it your best shot.
1) 'Luck plays no part in this game' - Dodgy penalty decision? Strike One.
2) 'I never doubted we'd go through' - Equalised (thanks to said dodgy decision) 6th minute of added time? Strike Two.
3) 'We deserved to win.' - Hmmmm... Three strikes and out.

Really, he won't. He's too slow. Doesn't read the game. Lacks anticipation.

I'm not saying he's worse than pratley, though.

Pratleys confidence is shot here. Needs to feck off for his own good.
