I remember when we signed McAteer from Marine, this bloke stood at the side of me in the Paddock shouting whats this non league tosser going to do. The rest is history, you just never know ehat will happen when a player comes. Lets give the lad a chance after all how much worse can he be than say Pratley?

Pratley is in danger of aquiring the same heroic stature as a Campo or Muamba....(ducks and runs)...Norpig wrote:I remember when we signed McAteer from Marine, this bloke stood at the side of me in the Paddock shouting whats this non league tosser going to do. As I said earlier on the thread - at 19 I hope he's pushing first team sooner rather than later anyway.
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
no - i simply reckon he didn't spend that much time on it. not so much time as would prevent the signing of a senior player should one be available. simple, really, and not controversial.Lord Kangana wrote:![]()
Do you reckon Dougie conveyed his message on folded up bits of A4 passed furtively across the classroom?
And how much more involvement does a manager need to have other than "hey you, footballer, do you want to come and play at my ace football club with shiny training facilities"?
fact remains - i did not say what you claim I said - you appear to be wrong. (sorry about that!)

Of course our spending would be higher. It is what we are spending now that matters.
Can hardly say that any of the money we spent in those three years has helped much either.
A lot of it has walked out on a free transfer. And three of those players are still without a club. £6M in fees and god knows what in wages.....

BOLTON Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman says Tamworth’s Kaiyne Woolery is raw but has plenty of potential.
The Lambs striker has joined Bolton’s development squad for £10,000.
And Freedman told TouchlineTalk.com: “He’s really a development player and I’ve personally not had a lot to do with it.
“I’ve got to give a lot of credit to the Under-21s manager for bringing him in."

This thread is dying on its aris. I demand a drone strike on the Arab's 4x4 to liven proceedings up a bit.

How will they pick it out amongst the hundreds of thousands of oversized tanks on the roads here?

Yours will be the one stopping at red lights, not cutting anyone up and acknowledging other drivers with a generous wave of the left hand. Brits abroad. easily spotted.

Although he's hardly lit the Reebok up, I have to say that I'd rather see him out there on the right wing than Medo or Pratley.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Vital Football Birmingham reckon the Brummies are after Hall. Doesn't say if loan or signing. Can't say I'm that bothered either way...

I think he'll be a good player, so will be sad to see him leave permanently. A loan move may be a good option for him though.

He has potential, something Dougie has frequently repeated. Which is why it would be odd if he lets him go permanently. U

Hall's one of those players I want to like but there's something about him that bugs me about him. He's bags of potential but is too lightweight, loses the ball far too much and picks the wrong option more often than not. I think given the right coaching and conditioning he could become a class act but I'm not convinced that Dougie and his cohorts are the right ones to do it. Definitely should only be a loan for me..

Like Wigan, but without the beard
, I too have been hoping on hope that Hall would come good - but I'm just not getting anything/enough back that suggests he might. I know he's still young and all that, but there's a lot missing from his game. Maybe a loan might help him develop, but I wouldn't be gutted to see him leave permanently.

Especially seeing we paid an initial £400k with a supposedly ludicrous amounts of add-ons, he should be a priority for Dougies coaching posse to work on.
