I'd recommend setting out to lose somewhere between 1 and 2 lbs a week. It will recommend what looks like a very dauntingingly low number of calories - BUT - if you are exercising, you log that too and it then gives you an equivalent extra number of calories to stay on track and not end up starving yourself,
Hell fire. I've just been down into the factory to weigh myself.
If you need industrial equipment to weigh yourself, it's probably not a good sign

Thankfully they've re-done the showers and the changing rooms since I was a pupil there. Back in the day it was preferable to walk home caked in shit.thebish wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:A return to the gym has been made. Sat here feeling allsmug and pioussweaty and stinky now.

Re-introduced myself to Laura this evening. She's dropped the cheesey music so I could listen to my own on the way round. Bonus.

She's a love. She didn't even bat an eyelid at the additional sack of spuds I'd brought along to run round with.thebish wrote:she's a very patient mistress! all this time - and you don't even call???Bruce Rioja wrote:Re-introduced myself to Laura this evening. Good luck at the weekend in Budapest, GtE. You must be flying out in the next few days. Every confidence you'll nail it, you have worked so hard this year in training. Have a great time!

Chatting with a mate's Mrs before and told her that I'd started running again whilst trying to shift some heft. I also told her that my goal is to do the Parkrun at the end of October and that I'll need to find another target after that so as not to just give up. She's just confirmed that she's booked me into Bootcamp in order that we do next year's Tough Mudder.

Let's go and jump in some puddles on Winter Hill then spend £90 on booze and strippers.
