He bought it a couple of summers ago, we've had to cut our cloth accordingly

Crewe still knocking the ball around, I see, despite some saying you can't play nice in the Football League

Speaking of which, for our winner we actually strung seven passes together...

Leicester won the league last season (at a canter) playing out from the back, interchanging positions and using quick, skillful wingers.

They worked on it in training. Rather than working on the defenders starting positions, whilst the rest of the team work on making sure they're within 5 yards of a defensive colleague. Then when the ball drops they all go "you have it! "no you have it!" and then someone nips in and scores..
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"

Extended highlights. Watch around 1.25 seconds on. Crewe make 15+ passes without us touching the ball when we make a failed tackle and they go on to very, very nearly score a second. THAT is why fans are pissed off. This was Crewe Alexandra .... in poor form.

Personally, the amount of passes except the last one is immaterial. The marking on the guy who gets the shot in is usually pretty dire. Their first goal should never have happened. We're not tight on players and not hassling them enough.

It shows, Tango, how a team bottom of the 3rd division passed around and through us, how we didn't cut them off, how we were not even second to the ball, how brittle and easy to open we are.

It shows that whatever we're working on in training, whatever the Great Man's planning is all about it's not even close to working.

If that was Arsenal or Citeh I'd see it as good players cutting us open. But it was Crewe ... and it's what Bury did a fortnight earlier.

You know it's bad, when you miss one of the goals on a 5 minute highlight programme, because you started doing something else instead...

There's the chance we could see it all unfold live on telly as well... :?

Its a long way to pop back for the tickets if Lever End leaves them behind again ;)
