I was wrong to very much want to leave Wembley after going 2-0 down to Reading in '94 and conceding a penalty

I tell you, Zico, and sorry for bucking the trend of the thread, but in my 40 years of watching this wretched game I've only ever had this absolutely undeniable feeling of utter certainty on the outcome of a specific occurrence. The first was that Branny would save that penalty and the second was Beckham's free kick against Greece. And those are the moments that we pass on from generation to generation.

I thought the same too, LGM, and could have been printed in the Telegraph as saying so (last three pars here), but thankfully either Jim White or the subs desk opted not to use my prediction of a 3-1 win...Little Green Man wrote:"There's not much between the two sides so it should be a really close, exciting game."
At Wembley about 10 minutes before kick-off.
