Seen it twice with my obsessed 7 yr old nephew. Frozen was much better, Epic good as well. Turbo was shite. He likes his films so I see a fair few.
Seriously though, Frozen is properly shite.

I thought it was lovely, and have a crush on Elsa. Fit. Plus I like a woman with cold hands
I watched Wall-E with nephew the other week which is supposed to be amazing, it's good but I wouldn't go overboard.
I don't get why adults watch kids films for their own enjoyment though. I know a few who do.

I read a few Potter books, they are very good, but I just thought how much I would have enjoyed them 25 years ago.

Well that's a bit like asking why do adults watch The Simpsons, isn't it?LeverEnd wrote: I don't get why adults watch kids films for their own enjoyment though. I know a few who do.
Not that I get to watch many kids films, you understand, but I've always had the scriptwriters down as being savvy enough to include an element of the content that'll go over the heads of the kids and appeal to the accompanying grown up.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: What are you watching tonight?
They just bore me on the whole. I never watch the Simpsons. But I do watch all kinds of puerile shite that many people would find pathetic so I'm not trying to be clever here!Bruce Rioja wrote:Well that's a bit like asking why do adults watch The Simpsons, isn't it?LeverEnd wrote: I don't get why adults watch kids films for their own enjoyment though. I find a sword fighting mouse and talking animals ( even if they do sound like Ray Winstone) just as believable as Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher...LeverEnd wrote:They just bore me on the whole. Watched "The Signal" starring Laurence Fishburne. Bit bizarre but in the whole a really good watch.
In regards to Frozen, my 4yr old daughter watches it at every opportunity and sings it all word for word. Im haunted by "Let it go" and "Do you wanna build a snowman"!!! ...........although on the sly I think its a cracking film. Also agree with Bruce about Ratatouille being a top film.

Her.
F*cking loved it. Right up there with Dallas Buyers Club as the best of last years set, and I think my fav.
Not seen 12 Years yet though.
Watched American Hustle, with some no-mark broad in it, last night. She loved it. I thought it good but not great. I still want to smack Bradley Cooper everytime I see him.

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
