Sorry Chaps. The battle bus won't be riding now - it'll be parked at the airport instead. Sorry.Burnden Paddock wrote:Wahey! Ticket prices pending!Bruce Rioja wrote:A few of things need to juxtapose, but I don't see why they shouldn't. The battle bus rides again.

I see Crewe got spanked 3 nil at home in the Sherpa Van Trophy last night by Rochdale. Shows what happens when they play someone much better than them. Hill in!!

No worries mate. The initial 'euphoria' had begun to wane. Probably for the best.Bruce Rioja wrote:Sorry Chaps. The battle bus won't be riding now - it'll be parked at the airport instead. Might it be that the 0-6 tonking William has in mind is the one that happened waaaaay before Premiership days?
Think it followed a 1-1 draw at theirs (in which we should have had a penalty that might have clinched the tie). Early 1970s.
Re: Capital 1 Cup round 3 (AND COUNTING)
They did thrash us at the Reebok 6-0 about 7 years ago if I recall
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Capital 1 Cup round 3 (AND COUNTING)
Beat us 5-1 at the Bok about 4 years ago too. Our Maud's first game. 4-0 down inside 25 minutes. Welcome to Bolton. On the way home in the car she was daft enough to say 'it's only a game'!

The more recent 0-6 was mid January about 5 years ago. I watched it in a pub in West London. We never even looked like performing.Prufrock wrote:Beat us 5-1 at the Bok about 4 years ago too. The following yearwwas this 5-1. It was the one when Bowden was chosen over Jusso and decided leaping over, around and under the ball was better than catching the thing

Re: Capital 1 Cup round 3 (AND COUNTING)
I have no memory of the 6-0 one thank fcuk!
We also capitulated to them the game after Nat died (I don't remember the score, 0-4?, and the timing kinda fits the one you're on about, but it wasn't SIX was it? Christ).
That 5-1 was Boggers horrowshow, and also the game David Luiz picked it up on the edge of their box and just kept running and running, till he got to ours,, about three times in the first half an hour. The worst of Coyle wtf football.

Re: Capital 1 Cup round 3 (AND COUNTING)
we have beaten chelsea 6-0, but I don't think they have ever beaten us 6-0
in the premiership they have beaten us 5-1 on two occasions and beaten us 4-0 on two occasions...
we haven't beaten them since 13th Dec. 2003 - when we won 2-1 (in the Premiership) with John Terry scoring THAT og in the 90th minute...

My apologies ... it was 0-4 on 24 January 2011. It just seemed more, it appears.thebish wrote:for anyone interested - the aggregate score for all the games we have ever played against Chelsea is currently:

Yes they have, and I was there, having come down from Uni midweek... 0-6, LC4 , 8/11/1971...thebish wrote:we have beaten chelsea 6-0, but I don't think they have ever beaten us 6-0

Everso has it right - this was after we had done 'the hard work' by drawing 1-1 at their place in the days when LC games were over two legs (I was also at that game, having gone with Everso's cousin!)...
The home 0-6 remains our record home defeat, matched by the same result against a club from Stretford during our shortlived first trespass into the Prem... on 25/02/96...
I was also at this game... It was not the happiest day of my life...
EDIT - Everso may have it right, by 1971 it may not have been a 2-legged contest but a knock out... The reminder of that penalty claim rang a bell... They didn't half stuff us at burnden though... (And after we'd hammered Man City 3-0 in the previous game - Garry Jones hat trick...

It was the Nat game, then. Understandable mistake, that certainly felt like we'd lost by more than 4, the spineless f*ckers. Proper low night that.bobo the clown wrote:My apologies ... it was 0-4 on 24 January 2011. I decided to leave at 5 also but my brother said, the way macho sportsmen do the World over, "hey, it ain't over till the fat lady sings !"Hoboh wrote:I left at five couldn't stand the gloating nearly all round the ground.William the White wrote:Yes they have, and I was there, having come down from Uni midweek... 0-6, LC4 , 8/11/1971...thebish wrote:we have beaten chelsea 6-0, but I don't think they have ever beaten us 6-0

I made some remark about having seen Hattie Jacques gargling and the 6th pinged in. That was not a good day.
