in the premiership they have beaten us 5-1 on two occasions and beaten us 4-0 on two occasions...

we haven't beaten them since 13th Dec. 2003 - when we won 2-1 (in the Premiership) with John Terry scoring THAT og in the 90th minute... 8)

I was there with my Dad. 11 years ago, though. Really?

I was. We turned up full of hope not just because we'd drawn 1-1 at theirs but because in the previous round we'd stuffed Manchester City (Francis Lee, Mike Summerbee et al) 3-0 (courtesy of a Gary Jones hat-trick).

Which all, combined with our last few seasons, makes me think the BWFC motto should be 'After the Feast, the Famine'.

You see, while I don't recall the Chelsea game ... I do remember the Citeh game like it was a mere 43 years ago.

We also capitulated to them the game after Nat died (I don't remember the score, 0-4?, and the timing kinda fits the one you're on about, but it wasn't SIX was it? Christ).

That 5-1 was Boggers horrowshow, and also the game David Luiz picked it up on the edge of their box and just kept running and running, till he got to ours,, about three times in the first half an hour. The worst of Coyle wtf football.
That's because it didn't happen in your lifetime, Pru. They beat us 6-0 in March 1971 in the league Cup at Burnden. We took them out by the same score in March, 1959 in the old First Division. No other 6-0 games. In the 5-1 debacle in 2011 Sturridge scored two and the Lump had a hat trick.

Selective memory. Always useful for a BWFC fan.
