Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Well, I think the perceived displeasure was well articulated during "Badgefapgate" which broke shortly after the match. I suppose I should recognize that sometimes it does take a while to corroborate the evidence presented with a mate that supported the other side...Lord Kangana wrote:Perhaps we could set up a Trip Advisor page for BWFC?Worthy4England wrote:More drama than an average Daily Mail article.
At least folks will be able to boo if he comes on next game at home...
That'll show him what's what.
Otherwise, what other option have people got to voice their perceived displeasure (rightly or wrongly)?

Perhaps correct
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Pretty much none of these are realistic options for us these days, but still blows away all that garbage I keep seeing on here and elsewhere that "those transfer coups that Allardyce pulled off don't exist anymore".

Makes you weep to think the 9 figure debt we've pissed away on mediocre chancers, when a little bit of effort in scouting makes a universe of difference.

Ninis was really good a couple of years ago, though I had no idea his career had gone so downhill. Looking at his Wiki page, it says an injury kept him out for 6 months, so it'd be a shame if that was essentially the end of a promising career.

Which is why I suggested "pretty much none of these are realistic options". Sorry, going off topic maybe, just saw the list and riled me up over past transfer shockers. Especially when I hear that the Campo/Hierro/Okocha type signings don't exist anymore. Not an option for us now, but could have made a big difference in the post-Allardyce years.Burnden Paddock wrote:One word. There are always diamonds to be dug out of the dirt if you look hard enough. The past few managers haven't looked further than the crap on the bottom of their shoes. Combine that with the club's nonsense policy of being a "trading club" signing young English players to sell on for a profit. With the distorted market and our drawing power / scouting network, was never gonna work. Glory days trading were Rioch/Todd era, esp the Scandinavian market, seems ridiculous we ignore those markets these days...
Anyway, rant over, bed now, COYW.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Wasn't Almeida the player that BSA tried to sign for us on a few occasions?
I'd be happy with a few of those, Malouda as an example. But wages

Yes, but let's be realistic. We're never likely to be able to compete with the Bournemouths and Brentfords of this world.
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
I notice Joe Riley limped off after half an hour for Oxford today. The curse of Bolton fullbacks. It does seem that he is very injury prone poor lad.

Am I missing something ? Very promising player who's had more than his scare of knee injuries I thought.newcarsmell wrote:6.
