Re Hayden White, the playing of Ream at right back shows how short of cover we are, I watched White play in the U21s on Monday night and he was the stand out player for us. With him gone, Riley out on loan MacNaughton (if recovered from illness) is now the only recognised right back at the club. Freedman must be sure he's bringing cover in or has far more confidence in Ream at right back than most if not all Bolton fans have.

Where has this about Hall being stroppy come from? I think that might be just a lazy stereotype.

In the four months he spent on loan at Birmingham he made 11 starts. He's spent 18 months here and made 12. And I doubt any of those were consecutive. How is anyone going to develop like that?

Also, between Hall, Wilkinson and White that's the better part of £1m in tribunal fees being frozen out.

There was the infamous 'curtains' twittergate towards the end of last season involving him, Vela and, I think, Odelusi.

Nope .... ????

Mixed race, well paid footballer = Dick

See, Beckford, Hall, Craig Davies etc..

Not my view, just one of many others'

It seems to be the case though..

He seems alright to me and Beckford seems as nice a bloke you could possibly meet, yet everyone brands them in a different light.. Can only think of one reason why to be honest

Rob Hall loaned? Good. Whatever else, he hasn't shown himself to be up to first team standard. Give him game time elsewhere. See if he develops. My guess is he won't.

I am frequently mistaken.

He's an inconsistent winger. Which wingers aren't? Plus he's young.. I'd rather stick with him personally, but I know we're not able to carry anybody at present.

Glad it's only a loan, as I think he has potential

Ditto

I'd never contemplated any racial consideration and, to be honest, am struggling to see that as a consideration.

I don't mean performance.. I'm talking about how people talk about them having 'attitude' when they have absolutely no idea

Well this was him at the end of June (apparently).

I must admit he looks pretty big but there is a video on the site below of him training. It shows the same photo but also a video of him training (40 seconds in) and he doesn't look 'too' fat. Not exactly fit but not massive.

Good mature (for a 20 year old) interview with Max Clayton....

http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/VIDEO-Ma ... story.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He certainly doesn't lack confidence....get him in the squad now, if he's given games on a regular basis he could be decent - but Freedman (whilst he's in the job) needs to play the lad (from the bench at first) and stop the long ball football, this lad is probably a good technical skilful footballer (as you would expect from being at Crewe so long) and therefore needs the ball to feet and on the floor - not fired from 70 yards aimlessly at his head.

What's wrong with a fat goalie? You'd think you guys had never read The Valiant (Legge's Eleven)

Of course, fat and high as a kite might be a different matter...

Stick Clayton on the bench and get him into the swing of things quickly and I think he could be a good 'un (Mickey Ricketts good)

As for Rob Hall, not done anywhere near enough at the moment to justify a place int he squad. I think games elsewhere will do him a world of good and it certainly hasn't done Cravies any harm.

Is this another case of the Riga/Andranik effect? Players labelled as 'saviours' when they've had little to no game time?
Pfffft.
