Anybody else spotted this? I think most such articles follow DF's line that fans are impatient and unrealistic; that we're moaning because we're not leaping back into the Premier.

My sense, at least from the wise folk on this forum, is that our discontent with Freedman is independent of your understanding that the club is in a transitional, rebuilding phase. He just shows so few signs of being the right man for the job in hand.
His argument is somewhat speared by the fact that Derby changed manager last season.

There have been 3 or 4 "Freedman's made of the right stuff" articles this week. Alongside his own pleas for patience and unity ... a "truce" even and also a couple of the players it seems there's a concerted effort to boost his credibility right now.

Yet that's simple to achieve ... play proper football, make best use of who you have, stop talking bullshit and win now and again.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Yes, and it occurs to me that Clough the younger might be worth considering as DF's replacement?

DF's management style - the art of making the simple look difficult.

Worth considering, aye. Along with the bloke whose much less famous club are three places higher...

Ah yes. And with him the club would save money on relocation expenses.

4-5-1 with Mason up top on his own.

Hope I'm wrong but :whack:

Lonergan, McNaughton, Mills, Dervite, Moxey, Garvan, Spearing, M Davies, Chung-Yong, Feeney, Mason

feck's sake. So we've got a winger with the pace to bomb in crosses for a centre-forward who's not there.

Subs, for the record: Kenny, Ream, Danns, Pratley, Medo, Beckford, C Davies

Cmon Bolton. We're only out of the drop zone on goal difference.

Theoretically, it's Barcelona style "busy little bees" buzzing creatively around the box and walking the ball into the net. The reasons it won't work are legion. I could very well be wrong, of course.

Know what you mean Twilight, although the Chelsea game is a bit of a red herring.
WOLVES: Lonergan, Ream, Mills, Dervite, Moxey, Garvan, Spearing, Feeney, Chung-Yong, C Davies, Mason
DERBY: Lonergan, McNaughton, Mills, Dervite, Moxey, Garvan, Spearing, Feeney, Chung-Yong, M Davies, Mason

So just two changes and I can't blame him for bringing McNaughton back.

One up top though...

I could argue owt Bish, and so could you... :D

But Mason up top alone just NEVER seems to work. Didn't someone do some really good research on here last week showing that?
