Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Of course, I just find it amusing how these (mostly) selfies are concocted immediately upon the proposal - the champagne glass in hand with sunset in background shot, the kissing shot with hand placed on shoulder/face, holding hands with ring on display shot etc. There's a new one every week on my FacebookBWFC_Insane wrote:Thats the point of it isn't it - to show he's engaged?Athers wrote:Holden is about my age and this is the latest in a long line of pictures I've seen on social media which can be constructed to show there's an engagement ring present.
Stating the obvious but 6-9 months takes him out of contract.
I'm still pleased for him to be happy in one area of his life though!

He's back at Euxton and will join pre-season training.

Like most, I guess, I will believe the lad's return when I see it, and when it lasts, but you cannot do other than admire him and wish him the very, very best of luck.

yay!! the future is bright!!! Davies and Holden bossing the midfield and threading through balls to Beckford and Sordell - champions!!!!
Re: Holden on to nothing?
Holden's out of contract so it might not necessarily be our ability to keep hold of him. He may prefer another crack stateside which would involve less travelling. Whether or not anyone else would be willing to offer him a contract remains to be seen. I think as far as our club goes it looks like we're willing to offer him another contract but only on a proviso that he won't cost the world should another serious injury arise.

See in the BN today they seem to be admitting mistakes may have been made in holdens last rehab /return.
Whilst theres a glimmer of hope that he will return again before the end of the year like the cavalry over the hill..... dougie then squashes the hope, saying how he will coach him on his return ...

For once the need to teach someone how to run may be appropriate.
Jeez, he's had some shite luck.

It's last chance saloon for Holden. If he returns and then suffers another injury then it's time to call it a day.
And for those FIFA fans out there...He's not even in the Bolton squad!

If he is he should probably get himself to a more professional outfit for his comeback.

Yep. His contract ran down in June. He's 'with us' on a sort of friends basis. He has been allowed to keep key to the door and welcome back when/if he's ever ready.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Isn't he now out of contract? I'd be far from surprised to see him come back, train and try for a contract IF h gets well enough. I'd also be far from surprised to see him give a club in North America a go.

Re: Holden on to nothing?
I think he'll stay over there. I imagine he realises lofty Premier league ambitions are beyond him and he'll be happy to just play for a bit if possible and plan for his future career.
Hope I'm wrong and he rejoins us all guns blazing but doubt it.

Re: Holden on to nothing?
Whilst he was actually here at the club, I always saw his as a sort of happy-clappy lad with no desire ( or need) to be involved in any sort of dispute. Let's face it, before the accident he was just a young bloke with all before him and an international career to boot. He might have heard others airing views, but I doubt he'd be much involved. I'd imagine any ire he might have could well be directed at that plonker down the Irwell and not the club.LeverEnd wrote:Might work hrs other way if we get someone good who shows an interest in him?
