No.
The alternative is now boring mid-table obscurity when otherwise you can have all the fun of the home crowd booing the manager/directors/owners/players/groundsman/announcer and cheering the opposition every time they get the ball anywhere near the net, pitch invasions, mass demonstrations on the car park and letters to The Times. Look on the bright side, in the Third Division you get to go to Fleetwood.
Might be the middle of February, but it's still Fleetwood. Who'd want to go to Arsenal??

Felt oddly hesitant prior to clicking yes on that poll.

I would imagine that its only finances that are dictating his stay at the club at the minute. It certainly isn't performances on the pitch and his supposed remit was to lower the wage bill and build a squad to compete in this division, it doesn't seem like that is working either.

Wouldn't like to see the back of him in this manner but it does seem that we are approaching the precipice. I don't think we need a world beater of a manager, I just think that we need someone who is capable of consistently raising the players to play to their potential.

Don't think Jimmy Phillips is the answer but i'd be happy for him to step in as interim boss for the time being.

I think we can take our time. Sack now, Jimmy for next 2 games and see who's interested. Plenty of time with intl break after the Bournemouth game. I still think there will be a lot of interest.
Talking of unemployed managers, I've always liked Dave Jones. Did a good job at Cardiff before the pantomime villain arrived with bags of cash.

Our next game is winnable, especially without him in charge but I could even see a Freedman team beating Fulham, so I'd rather he was sacked before that game because it could give him a reprieve. Assuming we beat Fulham and drew our game after that, we'd be prolonging the agony and he'd likely get an additional 3 or 4 games after that point, which he doesn't deserve so why bother? He should have gone early last season and even after some of our wins since then, I've always wanted him to get sacked. I don't rate him as a manager, I don't think the players believe in him and the fans won't reverse their opinion, so what is the point in continuing this farcical situation? Doing so would only accept failure, something I never want us to do. Get rid of him, throw as much money as we get at an experienced replacement and pretend like the last season and a bit never happened.

The crowd after Derby was a nice sign because we've had months of apathy from our fans. I'm glad that turned to venom and hopefully when a new manager comes in, we start to see attendances increase and we get a bit more money and passion into the club again.

Excuse the double post but I just watched the Freedman post-match interview on YouTube and as someone who has rolled their eyes at every interview from him in the past year or so, I applaud him for what he said. Unlike the usual "we played well", "we need to cut out errors", "we need more luck in front of goal" etc. nonsense, Freedman was honest about getting the tactics wrong. We're all human, we all make mistakes so it was nice to see him admit it for once rather than spout his typical delusional comments or by deflecting the criticism onto his players. He got his selection wrong, we lost because of it and he owned up and admitted fault. Freedman has done a lot to annoy me in his stay here but good on him for saying that.

I hope he's gone tomorrow morning so my opinion of his last act as Bolton manager is a positive one.

For the first time voted yes. Took me a long time to come around but he continues to experiment with his selections and tactic. We need someone who knows what he is doing. I dont think the Chairman knows what he (PG) is doing either so God help us with the selection of the new manager.

I cannot believe he's lasted so long, I don't think any other club in England would have put up with such failure for such a long time.

thumbs up to the pitch invaders, the more hostile and disruptive the crowd becomes the better.

Wtf is he doing still in charge? There is no other club in the country that wouldn't have sacked him by now!! As for playing Fleetwood next season! Not a chance,as they play decent football under a decent manager, and will most likely be playing in the championship next season. I really wanted dougie to do well here, but he has shown us and the world that he really hasn't got what it takes to be successful. It isn't like he has had shite players to chose from,a half decent manager should have this squad playing better than this. Go now and don't darken our stadium again.

During my time of over 50 years watching BWFC I have never called for any manager to be sacked, but times change and he has to go. It would be great if he rocognised his failings and resigned, thus saving us the expense of a sacking, but that is unlikely to happen. The man has to go now, along with the coach and Lennie Lawrence( just what does he do?).
I can't agree with the 2 idiots who ran on the pitch, all that will do is cost the club a hefty fine, money which we can ill afford to lose, the money would be of better use paying DF off.
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

I am also a 'gold watch' supporter. Have to say I stopped using my season ticket during Megson's last season (that may or may not count as calling for a manager to be sacked).

I wasn't chanting along yesterday (although I was at the match).

Here's something worth considering. I've heard several people say yesterday was our worst ever performance under Freedman. Rubbish. Ironically, for the first 20 minutes, it was one of our best - we played decent football, created a few good chances, our goalie saved a penalty (softly conceded) and we were the better team.

I think an intelligent Derby supporter (I'm sure there is one, somewhere) would have witnessed the pandemonium later in the game and wondered wtf was going on. As soon as we conceded, the atmosphere changed and the team wilted. The second goal, caused by a defensive error (not really in DF's control) sparked a torrent of bile and two stupid pitch invasions.

This, I think, sends a clear signal - the lad has to go, and now, as there is no way back once the crowd has turned so utterly. He's worked hard, been given a decent shot at it, but just isn't good enough.

↑↑↑↑ & this reaction was from the fans who are still turning up.

Around noon yesterday I ate a sarnie, finished a cuppa and then looked at the car and decided "nah, feck it ... can't be arsed". I did have a mild fantasy that upon deciding not to go I'd "un-domed" us and we'd play well and win 4-0 and finally begun our renaissance.

Instead I saved 2.5 hrs driving, £40 of fuel and, it seems, a miserable day only lightened by the fact that the fans actually, finally let the club know this was not good enough and could not be tolerated.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If I travel 130 miles and get 420 to a full tank which costs me £80 to fill ... (130/420)*£80 = .... yeah OK. But a bit of angry exaggeration never hurt anyone.

Is he still here ???

I'd swap him for A, B or even C.
