Just noticed Y and T are perilously close together on the keyboard.

Wht is everyone so besotted with Mavies anyway??
Or as poorly. Likewise Danns was getting no change out of Bournemouth's left back. The perfect opportunity presented itself to move Danns infield and play Feeney on the wing where arguably Danns would have done better than Davies and Feeney would have done better on the wing than Danns. No certainty, of course, but it couldn't have been any worse than lazily swapping Davies for Pratley, one for one.
I thought you and Bobo were co-founders of the 'Hughes In' campaign? :conf:
I said he gave a good interview. How the feck have you arrived at that from there? :conf:

Were you even born then?

Studied TV drama of the 1980s on a course?

Boys from the Blackstuff and Jim Cartwright's Road answered Thatcher better than anything Kinnock said or did.

No, wasn't even a twinkle in an eye back then! And nah, haven't watched it (the only tv we studied at A-level media was The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), but have heard of it and know of the character through various mentions. Tis on a list to watch along with other 'great' shows I haven't seen from that era, such as Edge of Darkness and Our Friends in the North.

Any other reccos? Might be worth moving this over to the 'watching' thread.

After Our friends in the North I think Flannery's Blind Justice is very, very good.

And after Blackstuff - which was brilliant in all respects, and 'Yosser's Tale' was the best ep, just wonderful, and 'George's Last Ride' almost as good, Bleasdale's The Monocled Mutineer was exceptional.

IAll of the above simply outstanding - and, I think, all the BBC.

Oh, and A Very British Coup!

No. You didn't. I said that he had an air of Rioch about him in relation to a comment that Bobo made about the interview he gave. I haven't said 'Hughes in' anywhere.

Bobo pretty much did, though - said that in a little while he'd be the greatest manager europe has ever seen... or summat like that... (based on one game lost out of one and a pretty interview!) ;-)

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
