I don't see how money is available, due to the need for FFP compliance. It's nice to be in the press in a more positive light and that there's some hope but I'm assuming we're still on a "one in,, one out" sort of programme..Unless there are people queuing to take some of ours off our hands.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

tbf lenny has acknowledged as much and whilst it will highlight some of the dross freedman has lumbered us with, will be interesting to see whether he can get more out of them and whether he can work the markets better. For the short term we're relying on a positive mental attitiude & a happier ship

Yep. Although it's worth noting that one of those players we're (predictably) being linked with - Chris Commons - is in the final year of his contract and might be available for nowt or next to.

I think Garty said we were on track for FFP - so maybe we can do one in, one out now, where as before is was one out, one out, one out, one out, loan in.bobo the clown wrote:I don't see how money is available, due to the need for FFP compliance. Kris (with a 'K" .... which always has an element of Ellesmere Port name about it) is free to talk to other clubs come January and I'm sure NL won't speak with him before then. Aged 31, so many clubs wouldn't touch him, yet last season's double Scotch player of the year and apparently p'd off with Della. So comes into the frame for sure ... but better placed clubs with more free dosh will challenge us. It'd be a huge leap of faith.EverSoYouri wrote:StaffsTrotter wrote:realism ...boo.bobo the clown wrote:I don't see how money is available, due to the need for FFP compliance. I thought I'd heard somewhere that Commons' wage demands would make our eyes water.

Commons (or Brown!) aside I'm hoping we stay well away from players in the SPL. Undoubtedly there's some good uns in there, but I recall Strachan's time at Middlesboro when he bought a shedload down with him. Most of whom failed miserably

he seems to have learned his lesson - and is now packing the scotland team with fewer SPL players...

I still remember the breaking news in the BEN "Bolton sign Scottish International in £900,000 record deal". Stephen McAnespie. Oh dear, oh dear.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.
Re: Rumour has it.............
Biggedy Bam! Can't see this rumour being true considering NL comments yesterday about being "top heavy with midfielders" but:

Did we have specific transfer threads for particular windows back then?
If so, then no. Obvs.
