Just got given a free packet of skittles, no wonder they are free, what vile things they are, rather eat me own sick!
My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!

No need to force. I'll buy them from you at £2.29 a bottle.bobo the clown wrote:Not for £3.29 a chuck they don't.William the White wrote:Do your lot do the blood of Christ type of 'communion'?thebish wrote:aye - none of us on here would dream of drinking it on a weekend! imagine!!William the White wrote:Yep - for years they had a Macon-Villages for under a fiver (now, alas, vanished). This was followed by an Albarino from Galicia for a fiver (which also seems to have gone the way of all flesh). But this one is head-shakingly not possible... I don't want to exaggerate - it is only 'decent' midweek drinking - but it is also only £3.29!
Well. I got 4 bottles to try (if I don't go for a wine first time I feel it deserves a second go), so you'll know about it if I'm forcing those third & fourth bottles down. They took some finding .... all on the very bottom, in boxes. You'd have to be a terrific short-arse to see them quickly .... Billy.

Three bottles and change from a Tenner? That's Rammy Aldi getting a visit on the way home.
Smoked salmon tonight. Not sure what with yet. Possibly just cheap red wine

A bit of pasta, cream and chuck in the smoked salmon late on. Black pepper and off you go.Bruce Rioja wrote:Three bottles and change from a Tenner? That's Rammy Aldi getting a visit on the way home.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If you're popping into Aldi then grab a bottle (or three) of their Verdejo. Usually does the job with a smoked salmon risotto.Bruce Rioja wrote:Three bottles and change from a Tenner? That's Rammy Aldi getting a visit on the way home.

For extra ponciness I put chopped lemon balm (when available) in mine instead of the parsley.thebish wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:Three bottles and change from a Tenner? That's Rammy Aldi getting a visit on the way home.

As bobo intimated, you may need to wear your specs and get down on your knees to find it. Though why he had trouble beats me, since he's the spitting image of a garden gnome.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Had a few of these last week down in Southwold and brought a crate home with me. Bloody gorgeous!
Just ordered another four crates by mailorder for, ahem, Christmas. Yes, I'm sure they'll last until then....probably.

Aye, can't be doing with their Bitter, but the Broadside is a cracking pint.

A splendid heads-up there, William. It's accompanying the smoked salmon salad very nicely thanks. Chin chin.William the White wrote:It's called 'Grapevine', Bruce.Bruce Rioja wrote:Three bottles and change from a Tenner? That's Rammy Aldi getting a visit on the way home.

Greeny - Couldn't find your recco anywhere, Chief. Is it only available in certain stores, do you know?

Cheers, Fella. I really should introduce more white to the rack. I'll see if they have it in the biggun in town.Little Green Man wrote:I've bought it many times in the West Derby Aldi in Liverpool. Aldi do a Hungarian (yes, I know) Chardonnay for £3.49 which Mrs BP and I both quite enjoy. Then again, we're as common as muck!Bruce Rioja wrote:Cheers, Fella. Mrs BP also likes the Prosecco at £5.39 which is very reasonably priced.

I concur. I don't usually do Prosecco, but that yellow label stuff in Aldi is excellent.Burnden Paddock wrote:Aldi do a Hungarian (yes, I know) Chardonnay for £3.49 which Mrs BP and I both quite enjoy. From the Aldi in Bolton centre today - one prosecco, two verdejo, from reccos above. Look forward to confirming them.
