Re: Where are you going tonight?
Last night of Early One Morning.
I'll be sad to see the end of the run. But I think it eventually became of of the most satisfying productions of my plays ever or anywhere.
Great cast. Outstanding director. Set, costume, lighting, sound, all working together beautifully.

Something that you should be very, very proud of. Which I am sure you are!William the White wrote:Last night of Early One Morning.

I have to admit that I found it amusing that you were laughing at the more humorous sections of the play, even though you wrote it and must have heard the lines dozens and dozens of times.

Let me know how it is, I'm at the Roundhouse on Tuesday.Bruce Rioja wrote:Right then. Birmingham. Counting Crows gig. Long overdue meet-up with a bezzie. An absolute fecking skin-full. Aye.

A and E for me tonight after a player accidentally cut across me while I was reffing earlier. My right kneecap ended up on the side of my leg. The worst pain I think I've ever felt and by pushing it back round and in, I may have damaged the ligaments apparently. I screamed like a teenage girl. I've had better Sundays.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

there's nobody on here (except for Kevin Davies - an avid Forum lurker) who would NOT have screamed like a girl! sounds feckmeisterly painful!Bijou Bob wrote:A and E for me tonight after a player accidentally cut across me while I was reffing earlier. Superb, Prufrock - as ever. Did quite a bit off of the new album (Somewhere Under Wonderland) so if you're not familiar with it you may wish to be. It's on Spotify. Did a superb full-on electric Mr Jones, too. That said, I've known them completely change the set list on consecutive nights, but I'm sure you'll absolutely love whatever they do. There's some serious talent and expertise up there.Prufrock wrote:Let me know how it is, I'm at the Roundhouse on Tuesday.Bruce Rioja wrote:Right then. Birmingham. Counting Crows gig. The next appointment will be crucial.
Good to see that David remains as an associate, with two productions by him a year scheduled.

Just read the email. Sad news, but sad news that could've been a whole lot worse.clapton is god wrote:Octagon attendees - David Thacker leaving his post as Artistic Director.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Interstellar yesterday evening at TC Imax. Cracking film if a bit on the long side. First two hours spent admiring the gorgeous graphics and then another 40 minutes whilst they explained the physics and what the blithering crin was actually going on. Still got plot holes in you could drive a coach and horses through, to my mind, but a very enjoyable romp through space and relativity.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing it, but a mate went last night and hated it. He's not said why yet, just had a right old moan.clapton is god wrote:Interstellar yesterday evening at TC Imax. Cracking film if a bit on the long side. In the trailer Anne Hathaway says, " love is the one thing were capable of perceiving that transcends time and space ".
