Any of the match goers fancy doing a run down on the game?

Can you imagine how good we will be when we have goal scoring strikers?

Shame Feeney couldn't find his hat-trick, surely that would have been the first multiple hat-tricks in a season since Lofthouse's era? Also props to Lonergan, I'm wondering if we'd be better off cashing in on Bogdan while we can and keeping him in the sticks.

Brilliant work by Lennon and the lads. Can't wait for us to stomp Wigan now :D
McGinlay, no? (Maybe 93-94 or something?)

Fantastic match all round, but I do have to say that Pratley was fecking appalling (cross for Feeneys 2nd aside). His lack of movement and general unwillingness to want the ball to his feet was shocking. He has no vision and for once It didn't seem that he put in his usual 100%. That aside, Cravies was a class act today, his work rate and movement were first class. Bravo that man. Shout out to Vela too, apart from one slip he was brilliant.

You are right on Craig Davies - MotM for sure! also goo shout for Vela. I'd add Chungy to list of good performers.

Wrong on Pratley. He played well. With energy. and effectively, winning the ball, harrying and contributing all round.

Disagree about Pratley, he'll never look elegant or classy but he made a telling contribution today. Cravies was superb. Danns improved as it went on and two good finishes from Feeney, the suprising goal hero. Was amazed to see Vela at RB, and felt a bit sorry for Threlkeld but he played well and attacked a lot as Cardiff gave him little to do defensively. Mavies was ok but never really got into it, we played better after he went off I thought. Hope he's not injured.
I love seeing them pushing for more goals at 3 nil, refusing to allow the opposition to settle, breath of fresh air!

A privilege to be there tonight. The difference under Lennon is startling. I still think it's a badly unbalanced squad, but to see players working hard, getting stuck in and having a go was great.

Cravies worked his socks off and never gave their centre halves a moments peace. Ream was great and big shouts for Vela, Lonergan & CYL. Pratley worked hard but his poor control inevitably meant any quick break immediately ended at his feet. Best comedy moment was his 'shot' after he'd stumbled through on goal. Remarkable

Mark Davies substituted after suffering double vision. Spearing had been struggling with minor hamstring prob. #bwfc

Can't remember the last time I made my hands sore through clapping. What an absolutely immense performance that was tonight, and every single one of them deserves credit. C Davies was MotM for sure, but on any other day it could have been anyone from four or five of them. Vela did a fantastic job at right back, just needs to learn to push into the vacant part of the pitch in front of him when we're going forward, which, to be fair, Spearing got him to address. Apart from the efforts requiring the saves from Lonners we reduced them to shoot-on-sight half chances from outside the box.

Tonight they played like the players that we know they can be, and I'm so glad to have seen it.

Tonight we were superb. :oyea:

The improvement seems to be coming game by game as well, with only the Norwich match being a blip of sorts...

First match - Narrow win and clean sheet
Second match - Narrow loss despite playing well
Third match - took a little while to get going, but excellent 2nd half and great goals to win
Fourth match - Only lost by one goal but were much the lesser side.
Tonight - cruised it against what is a much more expensive side, clean sheet to boot

There's still some consistency to come, as Lennon is still to enjoy consecutive wins/non-defeats, but it's definitely the case that he's setting out the team to win every match. I think there's a lot to be said about a team's form balancing out on the law of averages, but I honestly believe that a Freedman-managed Bolton would not have got any of these results. Lennon has sparked something.

I didn't feel we were playing that well (although undoubtedly there were some great performances), but kept looking dangerous and scoring goals. Maybe I've just forgotten what playing well feels like.

Craig Davies played like cousin Kevin would've done in his pomp. Never stopped. Chungy was excellent again, particularly in the first half. I don't think Vela is a right-back, but I do think he's a good player and deserves to be ahead of all but Mavies and Danns when it comes to giving out central midfield berths. To mention those two, Mavies never got going but I think Danns on the quiet is proving himself to be vital under NL.

I don't rate Dervite, but I thought Mills and Ream were fine. Lonergan made two saves you would expect him to make towards the end, but faultless. For all his flaws, Feeney is probably going to have to play for the time being for what he does offer. Good on him for taking his two goals. Pratley is always Pratley, god bless him. More worked for him today than didn't.

Of the subs, Clayton did a good impression of Joe Mason. Beckford didn't really do much. Spearing looked frustrated throughout, and tried to force it too often. Looked very subdued at the final whistle. I hope he reacts to being dropped in the correct manner.

Most importantly, the vast majority of those look like they would run through brick walls for Lennon. Craig Davies undoubtedly could've.
