Just hitting form and now he's injured.

Any word on the severity? Fearing the worst, hoping for the best.

Reminded me of how Andy Walker went to ground all those years ago.

Gutted for the lad. Simple because he's been looking pretty good over the last couple of games. I hope it's not a terrible injury
Pfffft.

I saw him go down. Reminded me of watching Ricardo Gardner go down. Really hope I'm wrong but I'm not holding out much hope.

He went down twice, should really have gone off the first time. It's all a bit worrying as he was a form player. We're being decimated by injuries in key positions.

I've seen the moment Clayton pulled up again on the highlights, and it doesn't look good at all.

Unfortunately we've all seen that sort of fall before as mentioned but we've also seen it now a few times where a player has rejoined the action only to turn out they'd done their cruciate ligaments or similar in the first place. I'm no physio but surely this has got to stop.

When interviewed, somebody who actually knows what he's talking about, said if you've done them, playing on does no further damage

Also said the immediate symptoms are little different to a normal strain

So what do we do, sub anybody and everybody who hurts their knee on the off chance theyve got knee knack?

That's great, who are you talking about? I'll listen.

Seems like a "normal strain" isn't particularly one to run off either though? Knocks from impacts I get yes, but sending the big lad from Redcar back on to run it off seems a bit too much like the dark ages to me. Of all clubs in the league we should be best placed with these knees just from experience. What do the players say to the physio? "I twisted my knee" "My knee just went" Alarm bells?

and yes, I would sub them off if they collapse like Clayton did on that touchline, or M Davies did in midfield last time. It's not every injury. It just seems embarrassing watching them struggling and collapsing again.

Back in the day when it were fatal I snapped an Achilles. Thought I'd been shot, couple of minutes later I was laughing with the lads. Certainly could have carried on, certainly wouldn't have lasted much more than a moment.

Has that been reported or is this just pure conjecture?

Not seen anything - hope that means its not as bad on the basis that our feck* medical team should be used to diagnosing serious injuries by now.

Marc Iles says an announcement will be made later this week, perhaps on Thursday. He doesn't think it will be positive news.

Had a scan yesterday, I believe, and we're waiting upon the results.
