Gah. Jacob Butterfield, of all people. Looks like it swerved in the air just in front of Lonergan, but we really can't complain. For about 30 seconds, we were in the top 10 (Watford have come from behind to lead at Cardiff)

They backed off Butterfield and allowed him to get the shot in but it was a cracking goal to be fair

Get the Goal Machine on in the 2nd half. Be reet.

Sounds like we've been under the cosh for much of the half, so we need an outlet up front/in midfield.

I'd still take a point, but we can win this.

If we managed to get near their goal and had a shot or two it could have been a different tale. A one goal lead is almost as dangerous as being one down unless we use it. COME ON YOU WHITES....

We're drawing, not losing so we can still turn it round. Got to get some possession and take the sting out of em. As long as we sit back we risk being dead ducks.

Part the Twoth:

Come on Whites, end the year on a high. No obvious changes so far as off we go. Lonergan called into action already and forged to make a one-handed save. And now....here they come agin but we can't get going. Too much defending.......We move forwards and....and....and...they clear after a bit of decent stuff from us. We don't sound to be harrassing much. Vela and Feeney, Danns, Trotter, Eidur and.....they clear. Homers making the noise.

Shot count: 17-4, although 5-3 on target. Also, notably, we haven't had majority possession - unusual under Lennon's pressing style. I would expect Heskey on soon.

It's all a bit like a Rocky film, well start leathering em any time now. Pratley figuring again and now we get a free kick in a prime area. And.......and......Eidur? and.......and.....its the wall and....Mills clatters Vaughan with a cannonball. We still have it and.....when the commentators finally tell us what's happening? It's them and we clear and they have it again. All our lot in the home half again.

Now......three or four passes but.....they get it again.

Heskey warming up but it would be nice if we could utilise what we have. And now.......Lee, Eidur, Lee, Vela, all over to you Claude and we win a throw in....And they have it again and.....Lonergan grabs the ball and we clear......and Pratley gets beaten to the ball by the keeper. WE WANT A GOAL........GIVE US A GOAL.....

And.....offside flag gous up fortunaltely for us. Heskey puts his Damart long-johns back on. And..."Hesky imminent" claims the man but......any way, we need to get the ball in their box. And the Hesk replaces PRATLEY..... What a Christmas Pratley's had.

Now....Chungy moves us forward but they get the ball back they lose it to us. Here they come again and.....listen lads, we can beat this lot. Ref refuses us a free kick that lets them have a dab, but we get it to the Hesk.. now Feeney sends one over and we win a corner...Is this the time.....???? and......cleared. The ref gets some bolix from the man for another bad decision.

Mills almost screws up but gets a let-off. Now Mills gives away a free kick. Not his best game? Now, we go and......ohh, the flag goes up and the commentators disagree big time with Heskey on the fly....

Aye. As it stands we're a point behind 10th. Gizza goal, Ivanhoe.

Terriers make their second change sound like they've just won the lottery. Have they signed Messi? And.........and......and......some ping-pong gets cleared but we have a throw. Now Vaughan gives us a free kick . Offside again by Heskey and we need to remember "We're the one and only Wanderers." Ten mins approaching as Hall replaces Eidur. Can this be the moment we pull Excalibur from the rock? Well, Lonergan has to tip a Robinson long-ranger over. We clear.
