Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread
Not sure there weren't too many fans on his case to suggest that him returning might not work. Even if it was only 10% of the goon squad. The empty vessils were making a fair amount of din, before he left...plymouth wanderer wrote:He was decent. If pratters goals try up who else we gonna look to. Eagles is shoot on sight type which we need.plus hes versatile. far as scraping the barrel goes.... We could do a lot worse. He liked the club and fans not the manager (like 90% of us) at the time!!

I see I've not missed anything whilst I've been away

He's an attacking player who thrives on confidence. Quite possibly a bit of a soft bastard. However players like that can be brilliant for you if managed right, and in the right squad atmosphere. I think we can give him a platform to perform now that he never had under Freedman.
Just because he's not the man for a relegation scrap in the shambles of Blackpool FC doesn't rule him out for me.

Well, of all the cheek! Bob himself posted on p15, that this would be "the best transfer thread ever". Then on page 22 or so MIGUEL VELOSO got a mention. Since then, we've unloaded Medo, Spearing, Riley and Kenny to name but a few. I fail to see how you're not wetting yourself. Look the bloke's hardly Ryan Giggs (I doubt his balls are half the size
).
He showed flashes of being a decent player but when needed to buckle down he went awol, Eagles couldn't tackle a one legged sixty year old and providing cover is foreign to him.
Not the type of player Keith or we want thank you!

Has he not gone yet? That's like a completely new signing. More joy! Gawd bless Bijou.Enoch wrote:Spearing?

Let's hope that you're not involved in any contract negotiations with him!!LeverEnd wrote:He's an attacking player who thrives on confidence. Quite possibly a bit of a soft bastard. By the by, Kenny left as a free agent when his deal ran out.
Factor it in however if it eases the passage to a night's sleep for our beleaguered thread sponsor.
.
Eagles though, shudder the thought. His type get show ponies a bad name.

Well this thread has been great for getting players out.
Need to get some fecking in though.

I'm not interested in his swingers thanks but I think he showed some guts at times. Not physically, but when we were struggling and he was getting grief personally from some, he kept showing for the ball. There's a bravery in that, even if he doesn't like the rough stuff. Once again, I'm interested in what he can do, not what he can't.Hoboh wrote:Look the bloke's hardly Ryan Giggs (I doubt his balls are half the size).

Now I'm not saying he's going to be the footballing equivalent of Gerard Butler in 300, but he's got a talent we can't afford to sniff at.

I'd just like to point out for clarity here that I provided one of the major highlights of this thread, and I hope for one that Bijou Bob is suitably grateful.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Aye, bravery isn't smashing someone at knee height after the ball has gone.LeverEnd wrote:I'm not interested in his swingers thanks but I think he showed some guts at times. He was a bit of a tart at times but so was chungy, and look at him. Darren couldn't play football and look what Lennon has done!

Do you never pay attention?
Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread
BN has an article saying although Spearings loan move to Watford has been agreed Lennon isn't agreeing to it until he gets some players in.
