According to "Lion of Vienna Suite", Crystal Palace have agreed a fee with us for Chungy. £1.25m rising to £2.5m.

Which, given that he's out on a free in 4 months time is a decent amount. Especially for a player who until Lenin's arrival had completely lost his mojo. I guess the "rising to" includes things like survival in the division, of which I'd be far from confident.wigan white wrote:According to "Lion of Vienna Suite", Crystal Palace have agreed a fee with us for Chungy. £1.25m rising to £2.5m.
I'd far rather have kept the newly functioning version. But this is better than it may have been and must give the manager something to go with. Certainly better than if that injury had put him on the sick till the end of his contract.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Ooooohhhhh!
Fingers crossed then.
I like chungy a lot but if he is going at the end of the season, might as well get something for him.

Yep, I'd rather swap him for Commons on a 2/3 year contract than have Chungy for 4 months.

If its true then I think it's a good deal and more than I thought we'd get.

Amazing, truly amazing how he's being so brilliant almost at the end of his contract. Ah well, if he's turned our offer down and wants out, better now than walking on a free....Get it done.

Palace only want to pay £3.5m, dingles want £5m.boltonboris wrote:Shit ain't it. An additional £2m is naff all for a prem team who can pay £11m for Gayle. I hope Blackburn stick to their guns and get their asking price.jaffka wrote:Palace are after Gestede at the dingles. They want £6m and Palace know that they aren't that far off being on their arse so are holding out. Gestede is getting frustrated and wants to go.
Swansea possibly interested in Rhodes at £10m. That might sound good but they paid £8m for him with a sell on clause.
An interesting stand off with rovers needing to sell to reduce their debt and to try and stop the ffp embargo.

As long as Lennon gets to spend the Chungy cash, I would say it's a decent deal.

Chungy's going to work under Pardew. Haha.

Amirite in thinking Palace don't play with a No.10 and have about eight wingers? Oh well, good deal for us

Still, as we stand Bijou Bob continues to outdo himself. The exodus continues...
