Janko has signed from Man United.
Probably one of the most interesting transfer deadline days.

Anyone want to do a summary of ins and outs?
One forward rated at 15 million 2.5 years ago
One international midfielder in Bannan
One Portuguese attacking midfielder with alleged 30 million release clause - Rochina
2 other highly rated midfielders with pace, one loan, one 2.5 year deal
2 high earners off the books and Ffp secured.
IMHO, best transfer window for years!!

A very good and successful thread with tight constraints shackling Lennon's freedom.
Well done bijou and well done Lenny.

Celtic fans seem to rate this Filip Twardzik.
Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread
Might not have finished yet either.
This Northern Ireland striker impressed and Janko hasn't been confirmed.
This could actually turn into a great thread, although still second to mine.

The Czech lad Filip is a permanent as well on a two and half year deal. Lenny obviously sees something in him.
I'm amazed that he has managed to bring so many in with so little to work with.
We have a good one here.

Just read we have a deal (treaty?) set up to sign Nick Kuipers from Maastricht at the end of the season. Never heard that name until 5 mins ago. Anyone?

N.L looks to have worked really hard to get some players in. Can't have been anything like easy for him in any direction, and he seems to have worked some minor wonders. Pity we have to face Liverpool without the benefit of any of the new faces, but things are really looking up. Our new manager is a man deserving of some respect. He must have had a hell of a day today. Well done sir.

Kellet has gone to manure as part of the Janko deal
Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread
Kellett has genuinely signed for Man Utd on season long loan. Flabbergasted is not the word.

I really thought it was a misprint/slip of the tongue. Iles claims there is a 'lovely story' behind it. Intriguing.

It's almost like Neil Lennon is playing Football Manager, a load of people I haven't heard of signed, and it explains the Kellet move. He added a second manager to the game and had them sign him to generate transfer funds, it all makes sense now.

On 31/01/13, we'd played 28 games and had 34 points. In 6th place were Middlesborough on 47....we currently have played 28 games have 34 points. In 6th place are Watford on 47 points...
New signings in the bag. Ready, set, go...

I am a Celtic fan, thought I would tell you a wee bit about Filip Twardzik.
He is a centre/attacking midfielder, left-footed, very good technique, passing, freekicks, corners, long range goals but he was never really given a chance at Celtic, he only ever played for the first team at left-back which he is never ever going to be. He is quite lightweight though and has had some bad injuries. He's actually very similar to Barry Bannan.

Speaking from afar, this is all bloody confusing... Still, I'm sure it will all work out for the best.

Presumably they were still feeling guilty over Garvan et al...Sponge wrote:Re Bannan, according to some Palace fan on Twitter:
