Re: 'He's mad that trusts in the tameness of Wolves'. Wolves
Question largely aimed at those who went (with all due respect to stream-watchers): how did ALF play? Him and Clough look like a decent combination (as opposed to two individually promising players)?
Re: 'He's mad that trusts in the tameness of Wolves'. Wolves
Like Lennon said, he worked well up front, often on his own.
He has a brain and seems to have a bit of strength as well, one point he had three on him and we still retained the ball, that was in the second half. In the first half he dummied from holding it up ducked his head let the ball run past and ran through.
Feeney put in a good cross in the first half which with more understanding he will be on the end of. They both linked well in the second half when he volleyed bug it was saved.
I was impressed and confidently predict he will score goals for us.

I thought he made a good debut. Made a change to see a mobile forward buzzing around and making a few runs - albeit a few of the team still thought Heskey was up front with the balls they were knocking in. As ever much will rely on the service he gets - pity that chungy is likely to go, as I think he would great feeding him, but there were certainly signs that Clough can do that as well (placing quite a burden on someone after 2 games)
Re: 'He's mad that trusts in the tameness of Wolves'. Wolves
BP and I were saying how much stronger he was than expected. He used the ball intelligently and his movement was good. Really like the look of him. Look forward to seeing him play with a big lad (fnarr) with Clough playing off them. He had one sniff at goal and got a shot on target which was all you could ask for such a difficult chance.
Let's hope he puts another hat trick past Dougie.

I expected Le Fondre to be a bit of a penalty box stalker and not to have great influence in general play but he did put himself about and work hard so I was pleased with the debut.

I thought it was a good game. We were better in the first half and they had the better of the second so a fair result.
I thought Clough was great. The ball sticks to him like glue, his passing and running hasn't been seen here for a long time rounded off with two great goals. I'm not putting any pressure on the lad but I've started calling him Zessi and he is our ONLY hope of a win on Wednesday. If he doesn't mastermind a single handed victory for the Supers I will boo him, thrown coins at him and abuse his family on the internet.
The Fond had some good touches too and looked like he wanted to get on the score sheet as much as Heskey doesn't.
It took us a while to work out that we were playing with two midgets up frton and stop putting in high balls but once we got the ball down I thought we looked good.
I'd never seen that Iorfa play before but thought he had a really good game for them at FB and if he's still there at the end of today I'd be surprised.
Thought we were going to catch them on the break but the couple of chances we have we blew thanks to a bit of indecision and when there goal went in I think everyone just went 'typical'.
There you go.
Thought the crowd was very subdued too. These games are coming thick and fast for the players - wonder if the fans are feeling abit of fatigue too?

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Any news on Pratley's injury?
Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.

Thought we played as well as we could have given injuries etc (and the fiasco of their first goal) and there was nothing anybody could have done about their equaliser so just couldn't get my head around the booing that came from the North stand upper where I was. Clapping soon followed from others and I couldn't see who was booing. Was it just North stand upper? Is it just young kids who know nowt?

I thought the booing was at the ref and the result rather than at the team but with Bolton fans you can never be sure can you?
I was in the WSL and everyone around us was clapping so....
I don't see as much as I used to but there's so much improvement under Lennon it's untrue. The ball's being zipped around a million times faster than it was, we're looking to go forward and we're not happy to sit on 0-1 in the hope of a late David Wheater equaliser.
Even at 2-2 we had a good chance to snatch it back and Wolves are pushing for the play offs. Like I say a fair result.
BoooOoOOOOooOooooo!

I didn't hear any booing.

Re: 'He's mad that trusts in the tameness of Wolves'. Wolves
I know 'people who leave before the end' is a well worn topic on football forums but I couldn't believe the number of people deserting the ground with 10-5 minutes left on Saturday.
It wasn't as if the game was fizzling out in to a drab 0-0 (even then I still'd wait for the whistle) Wolves were pushing forward, we were trying to hit them on the break, the ball was flying about everywhere and yet.....off we go to the car.
What must it feel like to be walking away from a ground only to hear a cheer from one set of fans?
It must be like ice down your spine.
Serve's 'em right.

Nope, I don't do that.Bruno3 wrote:was that because you'd left five minutes before the end?jaffka wrote:I didn't hear any booing.
Don't see the point.

Just frustrates me that we have "supporters" that boo just because we didn't win - why can't they be the ones that f*ck off 5 minutes before the end??

I have on occasion left before the end, because I wanted to get to the booze.

Maybe they were booing the ref for all the added time?
