never been much of a chef, usually CBA. but i needed some tea last night & couldn't be arsed going out so i knocked up a marinade of stuff in the cupboard  olive oil, vinegar, garlic, loads of spices and seasonings from the rack, mustard, onion powder, Worcester... leathered it all over a chicken breast from the freezer. cooked it. and chucked in a toasted pitta with a salad of diced onions and rocket leaves, mayonnaise, some scotch bonnet cheese i found in the fridge and a pineapple ring. Homemade Nandos! was properly ace!

Reminds me of hornydyke road in Astley Bridge.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I was born in Bolton and, two years in White rose land apart, have lived in and around it all my life. I have honestly, hand on heart, no recollection of ever hearing that expression. I Googled it and it claims it's a Wigan thing? :|

Tonight, tonight my friends and fellow Wanderers, the future Mrs Bob is making her Nasi Goreng. Hot enough to make my nose run instantaneously, spicy enough that just the thought of it makes me salivate, topped with a delicately spiced fried egg and fresh coriander, it's just utterly historic.

Indeed it is a Wigan thing Tango, very commonly used in these parts along with "Pea Wet" (or "Pey Wet" as it's pronounced in Wigan) :oyea:

I'm not having any of that as being a Wigan thing, Wigan. We've used babby's yed and pea wet for all of my life.
