Personally, I like the idea of younger/cheaper players being given a chance on the pitch. I wondered why he wasn't getting onto the pitch for a while, which I still do occasionally, but it might be for the best in his case.thebish wrote:yet there was a time when this forum clamoured for his inclusion!
My current "why's he not playing?" is Threlkeld, but it's entirely possible that Vela's a better player. It's probably better to have someone more comfortable on the ball playing out-of-position than a lesser football player who specializes in the position. Not exactly 10 Messi/Rooneys on the pitch but 10 players who could play anywhere because they're good at teh football would be great!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I think threlkeld has been playing at centre half recently . Lennon didn't seem to think him a full back . It may be that he needs time to develop in what Lennon sees as his best position rather than putting him in at right back . As mentioned earlier hall needs a couple of months or longer at a league 1 side . He ain't going to develop in the reserves with occasional 10 minute cameos when we want fresh legs . He may be a bell end ( I don't follow twitter etc) but being held up as at fault in the last two games where he has been tossed on to run around a bit isn't going to help his confidence much either . If we do want anything back for him he needs to play regularly at a lower level. Might be a useful attitude adjuster too !

Fully agree with all of this. Hall needs a loan and we need Hall on loan. A regular run might do him good. Send him to Bury... they've got a better training ground than us!Jonah wrote:I think threlkeld has been playing at centre half recently . Lennon didn't seem to think him a full back . On the other hand, is it notable that Threlkeld hasn't been loaned? Perhaps he's closer to contention than might have been thought.
