I don't think there is a bubble bath called "pal"...
Ho fxcking ho. I'm struggling to conceptualize a more comedic image. You really do have talent!

Happy to report I completed my first 10 mile run in over 8 months yesterday.

Whilst admiring your athletic efforts Gary, is 8 months not a bit of a long time to run 10 miles ?

Thank you sir. Yes 10 miles in 8 months is, indeed, a lonng time but let's not focus on the time but the endeavour.

LLS I am not a doctor and you are right to pount that out. However I know Bruce personally having met him on several occasions and would say he is an intelligent enough man to know whether he is able to self medicate. I also (away from this thread) advised him to seek professional medical advice.

As for the thread title and OP? I think I don't 'own'it but do contribute and encourage people to run and try to impart my knowledge through experience.

You're just a sanctimonious dick.

No, he doesn't. It's one where we discuss matters of athletics and running. Injuries occur as a result. So go and stick your pathetic, antagonistic, blistered beak in somewhere else, you manky c*nt.

I only check out this thread, like others, as a matter of course as a mod. I'm normally just glad to see folk making the effort to keep themselves fit. Must say I'm more than a bit disgusted that the thread needs to resort to petty, aggresssive name-calling amongst our own members. Get a grip lads, please.

Nice. You really are a charmer. Kiss kiss.

Missed my first game in ages to walk from home up the Pike yesterday afternoon. One the classic hill races and well worth a watch. Keep saying I'll do it next year. Maybe one day I will. It's on my running bucket list. The winner was a local lad, Rob Hope, still going strong at 41.
Did the parkrun with my sis in the morning so that was probably more exercise than I did in the previous month.
Enjoyed a pint in the Victoria and Albert when I got back. For once I earned it.
No sign of Mr Genshaw this year, unless I missed him.

Didn't do it this year bud, but hope to be racing again soon. Park run next Saturday perhaps? I'm surprised you've never done the pike race before. You really must!

Anyway - just got 40 minutes out on the cross-trainer without so little as a twinge. Tomorrow - uphill running. :)

I've never done a fell race and not raced cross country since 2002! Need to branch out a bit. I'll be up for that leisurely trot over the tops we talked about soon though.

Anyway, after my 10 mile race on Saturday I was back to the track today. Session was:

3 x 400m warm up

4 x 400m at 5k pace with 200m recovery

1 x 400m recovery lap

2000m at 5k pace

1 x 400m recovery lap

4 x 400m at 1 mile pace with 200m recovery

3 x 400m warm down

Felt great to do a full session like that. Didn't push too hard and ready to start moving on to get back to my 10km and 5km times

Feel tired just reading that! :D

Almost a full quota for this week's Parkrun with LE, Bruce and Harry joining me. New breakfast venue too, though I shall reserve judgement on 'breakfast yorkie's with gravy'!!!

Watermillock. All you can eat for £3.99 including mushrooms! Blame LE if it's shit.

Whisper it quietly but yes.

New venue sounds good. I'll look forward to that next time I'm up.

Upmarket from Sainsburys I'd say. You won't be able to wander in in your running kit covered in mud like you normally do, yer dirty get!
