Player of the Season?

Re: Player of the Season?
It's between Feeney and Pratley for me. Feeney gives his all despite his limited skills and has undoubtedly played well throughout the season. Pratley would be my main choice though simply because of the turnaround he made under Lennon, and he became the player that he was at Swansea, fantastic at this level, runs himself into the ground every game for the team, scores goals (his finish vs Millwall is one of my goals of the season) and generally just gives the team a zip despite again not quite having the most technique as a player.
Zach Clough deserves a mention just for the way he exploded into the team and professional football in general, and Josh Vela has worked so hard in several positions that he too deserves some plaudits.

Re: Player of the Season?
It's hard to say. Different players have stood out at different times. Nobody has been constantly brilliant to be a given. Ream, Danns and Feeney must be up there due to the number of games they've played, but they haven't really been amazing, like Chungy, Clough, Mavies and Pratley have been for short periods. Unfortunately,
My vote would probably go to Lonners. When we were scraping wins by 1 goal, he was the man between the sticks securing the 3 points. When the defence was weary, he was solid as a rock.

I have been voting for Beckford. All day.
Re: Player of the Season?
Timothy "By Default" Ream wins the supporters' association one again. Darren second.

It must be some sort of block vote, run by Stevie Wonder. Do they actually go to games?Prufrock wrote:Timothy "By Default" Ream wins the supporters' association one again. Darren second.

Re: Player of the Season?
Difficult question indeed. Different players have had 'player of the month', such as Pratley and Mills, but player of the season? Has anyone been consistent enough? I'd probably go with Vela because he's practically come from no where to hold his own, has won a few man of the matches, and hasn't really done much wrong.

Might be interesting to make a list of our squad in order of " Uselessbastardness". Any advance on Trotter for top of the list?Prufrock wrote:Timothy "By Default" Ream wins the supporters' association one again. Darren second.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I could not have picked anybody...so I didn't!!
Re: Player of the Season?
As if that useless soft bastard won it. How anyone rates him is beyond me, especially at CB. I was embarrassed watching him get shrugged aside by Wilson, particularly that one first half that needed Boggers to come to the rescue. Pathetic. F*ck him off.

I can't knock my 2 year old daughter down as easily as Ream was chucked about last night. My thoughts on him aren't a secret.Prufrock wrote:As if that useless soft bastard won it. His body language, his ability, his concentration. He's a sorry excuse for a footballer. I'm not pinning it all on HIM per se, but he's the epitome of the pissweak, slow, sulking bastards we have in our squad. His first touch goes further than Bogdan can kick it and his decision making makes Titus Bramble look like Franco Baresi

If you challenge like Ream, it shouldn't be too much a problemEnoch wrote:I'm challenging that bit!boltonboris wrote:his decision making makes Titus Bramble look like Franco Baresi

Re: Player of the Season?
Just make it three-way shared award between Bogdan, Lonergan and Amos. Let's face it, without them all and despite the efforts up front, we may well be facing relagation.

Andy Kellett named as Plymouth's young player of the year despite only being there for half a season. Hopefully another youngster to break through for us next season and not for MUFC. Always impressed by him when I've seen him play in our U21s.
