Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Now then. Bright start and....their keeper fires them forth as the rain starts to fall. It's blowing with us towards the opposition onion bag, the man says. Fabrini gets a free off Danns and...Dyer gets a mention and it ends back with their keeper who slices it at forty-five degrees. 3616 Brums plus some fifteen thou? homers. Bit of good play them and Randolph clears a hurried one before that Fabrini man comes again. Bannan, Heskey, Danns, and cleared easily. Now they sally and.....and...Grey and Eidur wins a crafty free kick. Moxey....crosses and they clear. Throw us and...cleared away. Dyer and Fabrini come again and....Bogdan has to save but comfortably.
Come on Whites, one to equalise then .....and a bit of a sally breaks down near the box. Moxey getting the good words. Danns......passes badly and Grey comes and....Moxey does well again. Is he angling for a contract? And now....Lennon gets a mention from mic man as he steps forth to impart fire and brimstone at the Whites. Davies....Moxxey and....Bannan lofts one over.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Walker replaces Danns in the home pack. Blackpool supporters invade the pitchand refuse to leave stoppng the game....at half-time
Mavies.....tapers off and they sally at us. We recover and....Walker, Bannan, Moxey...and...Bannan, Alf and.....we press the box but they clear.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Mavie and...Eidur, Oscar....corner us. Walker to take and......come on, and.....near but no cigar from Emil. A goal is all it needs and we can take it. Ream, Davies, Bannan, Davies, Heskey loses it and Dyer...thankfully fires one wide. Davies (David) replaces Fabrini and Brown leaves for...??

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Mavies, Walker....cleared....Grey....Grimes, Grey again and....they're having too much possesion as and attempt skims over our bar. Come on lads, Bannan and....cleared and they come at us again. Somebody get a grip of Dyer, will you? D.Davies, then Grimes.....and we grab it and Mavies and.....it peters out. Third sub for them as Donaldson leaves for ....?? Oscar throws one as Eidur leaves for Feeney to applause.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
We go with twenty mins left. Dyer again and....Grey and....Davies and....Cadish? .... and corner them cleared for a throw. Heskey goes, Davies and....Alf heads well wide from a Feeney cross. Some chat about gloves and stuff before....we go and....Feeney ..wins a throw. And now...in from Bannan, cleared and...they visit and...much chat about nowt before......so more chat about anything but the game and.....an effort goes over from....Feeney.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Come on lads, get stuck in and.....Alf slides one wide but he was offside anyway. Mavies leaves for Janko for a final roll of the dice.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Can we do it, yes we can. Come on.....and.....Heskey's header goes vertical and the keeper grabs it. Bit of doom and gloom from the mic men and some chat about cabbages and kings and sealing wax and stuff and..we'll get to the game in a minute. High excitement as we get a free kick for their offside. Seven mins to get two goals....Janko and....Walker, Feeney, and it all falls down as Moxey's cross it too strong. And now.....Bannan, Moxey and....Taylor and....Janko and...Alf and ohhhhhhh Cadish clears on the back post. Is that the last post?

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Janko mamages a yellow as a few disconsolate fans head homewards. COME ON LADS AND SAVE THE DAY...... Shxt, they're Ole-ing us. Come on lads, get a grip, get a goal......Heskey and......Feeney and....mix and mox and a throw to them. We try again and....Feeney and.....Janko and.....Randolph grabs it. Throw us and some here and there and....Ream and....Bannan...Alf, Feeney and....cleared but Moxey does well at the death. Heskey gets done for a foul and .....Ream gets let of before we have a last sally. Three extra and ....Dyer still being pain before we clear, but they come back again. Janko gets flattened and the Brummer gets a yellow. Last throw and....Bnnan and...Janko, Feeney, Taylor ....and the keeper takes the ball. Not our best day then?
And as the Radio Tango Enigma decoding machine goes back in the cupboard for another mid-season break, we say farewell to those poor souls heading for Barbados and like venues. Over and out....

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Blackpool game still on 55 mins with hundreds of fans doing a mass conga in the centre circle. Good on 'em.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Ref loved those yellow cards and all the possession we had (BBC stat) was disappointing not to end it on a high. Still, a fairly interesting season, let's hope for something a bit juicier next term. Thanks for your very interesting and welcome postings on Radio Tango, TD. Have a good summer and hopefully be back next term.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.
Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Poor poor game, not sure who showed the least interest the Bolton players or the Bolton supporters. At least the Brum supporters showed some passion.
Interesting summer coming up, not sure I'd keep any of the Whites who played today on recent performances,
Danns in particular for me was awful.

I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion
Re: Brum Game Piss Up
I'd get rid of most of them as well... they have just shown consistently that they cannot compete at this level, the number of injury-time goals, the amount of sheer idiocy at times... It's really a case of starting again with an almost brand-new squad, but that'll mean earning some money to be able to spend.Riviman wrote:Poor poor game, not sure who showed the least interest the Bolton players or the Bolton supporters. On today's performance we keep: Tim Ream, Bogdan, Eidur, Brannan... Each made a genuine contribution to the game...Riviman wrote:Poor poor game, not sure who showed the least interest the Bolton players or the Bolton supporters. At least the Brum supporters showed some passion.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Well they're the ones that most would probably agree have done so the entire second half of this season... the rest have just been shocking for the most part (I'll hold my reservations on young Walker because to me he's shown some decent talent but isn't quite the same as someone like Clough who clearly revelled in being chucked in because of injuries etc.)William the White wrote:On today's performance we keep: Tim Ream, Bogdan, Eidur, Brannan... Heskey has been alright for the most part but he's too old really to be building anything round and his Achilles heel is still his lack of goals (and I think at 37 it's unlikely his game is going to change to incorporate that!). It's players like Moxey, Feeney and Danns that I'm fed up of, because when they try hard they lack the technique and when they're not they just become utter liabilities... I think Dervite's adventures against Bournemouth highlighted our problems really. It was really obvious that Pugh had his number running from deep and rather than adjust his positioning to accommodate that he just decided it was easier to foul him. That attitude of taking the easy way out pervades the squad at crucial times, and I don't fault Lennon for that because he's clearly a guy who doesn't take sh** from his players. He's someone that I'd get rid of as well because but for a brief period where him and Mills played quite well together he's been a lumbering fool.
I'd like to see Le Fondre back if possible because he is a goalscorer and played very well with Clough in their few games together. That would be a partnership I'd have some faith in. Bannan is a player who looks forward as well and even in the Bournemouth game he was the one who looked closest to their kind of quality. He played positively and tried to make chances that no-one else in the team looked likely of doing.
Re: Brum Game Piss Up
That kind of afternoon makes me not want to bother next season. Everything less than half arsed.
This summer, instead of relaxing on the beach and topping up his tan, that lad with the swept back hair at RB (with no hint of exaggeration, he touched his hair with his hands more than he did ball with his body) should sit down every day and watch videos of G.Neville in his pomp and then put in the kind of after-hours work that completely limited footballers need to in order to be a success. At this rate I can't see him making it at Chorley FC let alone BWFC. I know Joe Riley needed first team football at 23, but...but.... injuries!
Young lad at Centre Half on his full debut did well all things considered. Gave the ball away a couple of times (7 times fewer than Danns - more on that waster later) but seemed to hold his own when called upon. He's a Dougie signing. So he's got that going for him.
That lad Walker has a dreamy left peg. Ream was our stand out player. Gulp. Moxey did OK against their £5m rated young RW. Danns, just mind elsewhere. Looked busy in that way he does, but looked about as dangerous as a wet match. Gave possesion away more times than I've ever seen a single player give possession away in one football match before. Record Breakingly shite. One Year Deal.
Not entirley convinced at playing Feeney on the left and Walker on the right when they came on, then Walker at CM by the end after all 3 subs. Seemed odd to me. A lot of today seemed odd. If Boggy signs elsewhere we can kiss goodbye to any idea of PL football in the next 3-4 years. If he stays, we have a chance as I reckon a great deal from that 11 won't be in the first team squad come august. And that's important.

Re: Brum Game Piss Up
Bogdan has become a superb keeper and is a must keep for me. He always had good shot stopping abilities, but his positioning and overall game has improved over the last couple of seasons. You'd hope that we'd get a pretty penny for him if we were to sell him because there are quite a few Premier League teams with far worse keepers...
