I can't believe this story is true. We don't have the money, surely?

Did anybody watch Kellett last night playing for Manure U21s? Played very well. Was really impressed. Could easily get into our first team if last nights performance wasn't a flash in the pan.

No, but glad to hear it. He must have something, but the only time I saw him was at Rotherham away. Not exactly the best impression but let's hope he gets in next season and shows what he can do.

Somebody recently seemed to have ITKK that he wouldn't be back next year. Whether that's coz Utd actually want him or more likely we've decided we don't, I don't know.

I'm waiting for the Guidetti'sberg address.

What position did Kellett play the other night? I've got it in my head that if he gets fit enough he could become the left wing-back option in the 3-5-2 system (despite his tough baptism of fire at Rotherham which I witnessed first hand). I just think because of his build (he must be about 5'8") I can't see him being the regular left-back in a Flat Back Four.

Anyhow, I hope his stint at Man Utd does him some good, but I can't help but think that first-team lower-level footy at Plymouth might have been a better option.

When he is granddad and telling his grand kids how shit hot he was, Plymouth wont have the same wow factor to them as Manure. Its on his CV and gave us for a time a laugh.

You what!

he'd have been playing in the semi finals tonight live on sky and with a possible trip to Wembley! Definitely better than rotting in the scums reserves!

Know what you're saying though :D

John Guidetti. No thanks. Didn't really set the championship alight when he was playing at Burnley. Less than a one in three record at Celtic.

We've had overly expensive unsuccessful Swedish players at the club before. If he came on a free then fine but to pay him silly wages and a signing on bonus seems stupid.

This smells of another N'Gog situation. Youngster can't make it at the big club moves a step down. We're hoping to make a profit but all we end up with is a half arsed player who will end up with the brunt of the fans wrath come match day.

I hope i'm wrong but i'd much prefer us to look elsewhere and unearth a gem from another league, think Henrik Pedersen / Kevin Davies, style signings.

Guidetti is an annual rumour. Is it now the third consecutive season?

Well if there is anything in this story it shows that our scouting network has extended from a caravan at Aston Villa and a taxi constantly on the move between Millwall and Crystal Palace.

Presumably ran out of petrol on the M1 on the way down to Palace/Millwall somewhere near junction 15a.

Genuine question from a confused old geezer ... what's going on with Andy Kellett ?

He's probably out on the lash celebrating Manure's U21 league trophy.

There's a charming picture of him in the full whistle, club cufflinks and all, on his Twitter feed.
