Played alright at our place this season or last? Turning down a team who finished above us. Looks like a reasonable signing to me given we are bargain basement shoppers now.

Best keep him away from our cheerleaders.

Tell me that it wasn't done by Mr P! I do worry about the two of you, with your Morecambe and Wise style existence.LeverEnd wrote:It's been hosed down already.Burnden Paddock wrote:Make sure that you clean your keyboard afterwards!!

It's been amended again now:Jugs wrote:"Released from Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the 2014-15, (Madine) has reached the pinnacle of every footballers career in signing for Bolton Wanderers in May 2015."

Is there any way we can get that picture of him with his hands on those jubblies onto Wikipedia?Released from Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the 2014-15, has reached the pinnacle of every footballers career in signing for Bolton Wanderers in May 2015. He hopes to emulate Bolton Wanderers legend David N'Gog

The man wanted early business doing and it looks like that is going to happen.

I know next to nothing about him - never heard of him!
so - is he the 15-20 goals-a-season striker that Lennon said was the priority? or is he another support-striker?

From what I've seen of him he's a goalscorer who doesn't do a lot else type. Which I don't necessarily mean pejoratively.

I would imagine he's the bulky target man who can work hard and chip in while Clough and the other young pups link up with him and cause some mayhem. Looks good in the air and with Walker's excellent crossing ability that will hopefully add up to chances & goals.thebish wrote:I know next to nothing about him - never heard of him!

From what I saw on Owls forums it was pretty mixed. Some thought he's a talent just waiting to shine, others that he's got the tools but not the application or workrate.
Seems worth a punt to me, but not holding my breath.
Oh, and he's a cult figure with the muppet element of the fans cos he's a lad and loves his top bantz on Twitter innit etc. hmmmmm.

Shouldn't Sordell be lining up on the beach at Easter Island?

Quite true. We still have to make significant cuts to balance the books. Did the last financial year end with a £10m loss nearly ending up in FFP fines or transfer bans?CAPSLOCK wrote:This is what you get for 5k a week
This is the player we have to go for these days. Peoples cast offs and loan signings. The good times have gone for now.

Craig Morgan and Ben Pringle released by Rotherham after failing to agree terms on a new contract. Both have been linked with us in the past.

according to Iles in the BN - we are now "in the driving seat" to sign Morgan to replace Mills... (Dougie is allegedly ready to swoop in for Mills...)jmjhb wrote:Craig Morgan and Ben Pringle released by Rotherham after failing to agree terms on a new contract.
