Unfortunately not. "Downing Street said the award was in recognition of his service as an MP and, before that, in local government". Like he did it out of the goodness of his own heart. The whole honour system is a fecking joke.

Will I be offered an honour for my 30 year career dedicated to the fire protection industry. No and if I did, I would tell them where to shove it.

Reveller? "Accidentally" smashes his arm through a bar window at 4-0'clock in the morning?Reveller? We used to call em pissed up idiots....but hey, reveller it is. Yesterday me and the dog saw a "reveller" ejected from Morrisons in Bolton by two, then three, then five security types at 4.0'clock in the afternoon. He was still fighting when the aliens who had abducted the wife finally let her out of the store and we left.. Reveller?

^^^^ now, you see, I call that self inflicted. He should be presented with the bill for the lift to hospital, treatment in A&E, transfer to Wythenshawe, operation and following care. At the full project cost rate. Must be at least £5-6k.

Lenny Henry getting a knighthood. Prufrock will be delighted as he's obviously getting one because he's black. It's certainly not for services to fecking comedy anyway!

The man's about as funny as an in-depth discussion on equality legislation and affirmative action.

It's for services to charity for the Comic Relief stuff.
