Damn knackered this week but I ain't missing breakfast
. As long as half of all these aches and pains have gone, I might as well have a run too.

Re: The athletics/running thread
So, we have one attendee that's running but not doing brekkers and a whole order of misfits that aren't running but are doing brekkers?
It's a good job that one of us has the bollocks of a Bison and will be doing both.

Re: The athletics/running thread
Best time this year so far at park run. Really chuffed.
Nice to see everyone as always. I see Enfield's IT shenanigans followed him up north. Neither he or Mrs Enfield appear anywhere on the results

Ha! Mrs GtE wasn't registered and I forgot my barcode. I was 1 1/2 minutes faster than February so glad of the improvement. Mrs GtE did a 7 second pb so she's chuffed too. It's only her second ever 5k too.Harry Genshaw wrote:Best time this year so far at park run. Really chuffed.

I finished 75th and she was 263rd.
Nice to see everyone. See you in July.
Re: The athletics/running thread
Nice to get out round pR again and catch up with the Enfields as well as the usual crowd. Hip felt better to, decided enough was enough after 18 months of it and went to a biomechanics lab in Stoke during my week off. Feels a lot better but should after I spent a small fortune on orthotics. Turns out the guy used to work with BWFC and had signed photos up with Stelios, Faye, Petrov and someone else I can't remember.

I'm not sure any of those guys did anything other than fade into obscurity after us... But his luck!

That sounds more like my idea of athletics.Bruce Rioja wrote:So, we have one attendee that's running but not doing brekkers and a whole order of misfits that aren't running but are doing brekkers?

Re: The athletics/running thread
Ha! There is no deeper athletics obscurity for me to fade into so he can't do any more damage here.Prufrock wrote:I'm not sure any of those guys did anything other than fade into obscurity after us... But his luck!

Aye - really good to see Mr & Mrs E, along with the rest of you of course. I was 19 seconds slower than last week, so it would appear that getting shitfaced on a Friday evening IS actually the way forward.

Rolled out of bed at 8.50am and couldn't face breakfast after a week of slacking off from running and eating everything in sight.
Arse back into gear from tomorrow!
Well done to those of you that turned out!

Re: The athletics/running thread
Second Aquathlon of the year last night.
500m open water swim followed by a 5.5k run
Managed to get under 40 minutes and pretty sure I got a P.B.
Best thing is I was 3 minutes faster than last month.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
