If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!

Burnden Aces do a decent job of collating rumours. Among the current ones are Palace chasing Mavies (Sunday Mirror), while we might be among the chosen recipients as Everton look to loan out young defenders Ty Browning (21, centre-back/right-back) and Brendan Galloway (19, left-footed centre-back, played for first team at left-back, can also playing holding midfielder).
Thanks for that link DSB, had no idea that Burnden Aces provided a nice little rumour summary (complete with sources which I like as a scientist!).

If Bogdan wants a very slight payrise to benchwarm, good riddance. I thought he was being offered far more than we could table. Hope we've got a line open to Amos or Lonergan.

Would love Hooper, like many others on here, would be a great "replacement" for ALF and a good partner for Clough/Clayton.
"Don't shoot the messenger! The above below are just that - rumours."

Of course it's entirely possible that Bogdan believes he's better than Mignolet and would soon win the jersey! Regard the numbers, whatever the truth, I wouldn't expect him or anyone else to do other than what they believe is best for them, so I'd say good luck.
Oh don't get me wrong I don't mean "good riddance" in an entirely negative way. I wish him all the best, it's been interesting watching him develop. When we first signed him I thought he'd be another cast off to league 1 or below, so I'm pleased he's "come good". However I don't think he's as good as he thinks he is; he's a good shot stopper but so was Lonergan, and I feel that he has more to his game (and Amos, although to be fair he didn't have an extended run). I mean good riddance in that if he's not willing to commit here and throw himself into our cause without hemming and hawwing, then we're better looking elsewhere. We need committed players, not just talented ones with an eye to move. The latter is partly why we're in our current predicament; signing players who perform to a decent level, and then move on for nowt or close to.

He may think he's better than Mignolet, but surely he doesn't think sitting on a bench is better for his career than playing consistently, either for us or someone else? And rocky start aside, most Liverpool fans I know seem to be happy with Mignolet's development over the season. He wasn't far off the golden glove was he?

And yes rumours are rumours, with most probably being false, but if we don't discuss them as though there's some substance to them it will be a boring and barren summer :)
If al of our players had ambitions and potential ability to play for Liverpool etc, we'd be a damn sight better than what we are.

They could offer him half of what we have and he'd want to move.. I would too

Also known as the Stuart Taylor / Ben Foster paradox. Inside the (penalty) box, is the goalkeeper's career alive or dead?

Point taken, I just can't be basing judgements on the ramblings of Lord knows who!

Correct.

1. de Gea
2. Valdes
3. Lindegaard
4. Johnstone
5. Amos

I actually think, longer term, that Johnstone could be United's No. 1.

Early 30's is young for a keeper... or is my perception changing due to becoming older?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Either way, it doesn't alter the fact that Plymouth Wanderer's transfer thread stinks like Gillian McKeith's Tupperware. :)

^^^ We could arrange a trip.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I thought QPR were supposed to be getting a massive fine for overspending last time around anyway. Or even a transfer embargo.

They are contesting it.

Dingle fans are really annoyed that their board have just rolled over and accepted it.

Are you going to change your name then?

Something more suitable, like Pikey Wanderer?
