He's off then. Bye bye Adam.

Also in the story about overnight speculation about Fofana (sp?) a midfielder from city and real sociedads Alfred finbogson (we like a bog at Bolton hoho!) but his wage demands would be too much.

York City?

It'll be this six-foot 20-year-old, who got 20-odd games at Fulham last season

Being linked for a loan move for Icelandic striker, Alfred Finnbogason. Cost 7.5m Euro last summer which could rise to 10m Euro.

Suspect this may be more 2 + 2 = 5. We are after a striker + He is international team mates with Eidur = Bolton are interested in signing him.

If we learned anything ladt season it is that whilst Bogdans a bloody good number 1 there are plenty more goalkeeper fish in the sea. If I were Lennon I'd be on to Amos (or Lonners!) and be forcing the issue. I'm more comfortable with that than paying a huuge slice of the wage budget on one player.

I may be in the minority (not unusual for me I know !), but I'm not arsed about Bogdan leaving, if we can get Amos in or another young hungry keeper I'm more than happy.

We shouldn't be held to ransom by players such as Bogdan, and we shouldn't be paying him £18k a week in the championship - NL can use his salary to probably bring in 2 players

Same applies for Pratley for me....only started playing for the last 5 months of his contract, abysmal for the 1st 2 1/2 years....if he signed a new contract he'd very likely go back to not giving a shit....let NL use Bodgan's reported £18k a week & whatever Pratley is on (probably around £15k ?) to bring in 3 or 4 players who want to play for BWFC.

18k for a keeper in the championship is scandalous! Would like to see Amos back at the club

They're all getting carried away with themselves. The only reason the Chelsea, City, Arsenal and United greed merchants get away with it is bottomless pits and the fact that the Premier League has them. We haven't got one, or a money tree either, oh, and we haven't been in the Prem for a while in case anybody forgot. Our last three games were against Brentford, Bournemouth and Birmingham...Not Barlcelona. Wake up time Mr Pratley and co. Not long ago you had a job getting on the bench. ... What really pxsses me off is you have players injured for long spells, get em right, train em up and then they pxss off or want to hold us to ramsom.

To be honest, if Prateley can persuade anyone to pay him even remotely that much then
a). good luck to him ..... and
b). what on Earth are they thinking ??

According to Nixon, Amos would be on 12k, which isn't nothing either. We'd also need a new 2nd choice

Cant blame Bogdan and Prats for trying to secure their future. I have no issues with them securing the best deal for themselves and their families. Some teams value them more than us, and therefore are willing to pay them more. We cant.

So I am glad that is sorted. Now we can press on with our dealings knowing what we have to spend. NL, go now into the world and build your team so that this transfer thread can start bearing fruits.

If Boggers is happy to sit on the bench for a pay rise on £18kpw, good luck to him, though it's not what I'd do.

Hard to tell just how much £18kpw is without knowing what we pay everyone else, but I'm sure we'll be able to find someone.

More pissed off about Pratley. On a rational level I guess I can't blame him for doing what's best for himself. But f*ck me, he was wank for years. Suddenly has some good games running about and even he's off?!

Hope Lennon has another Wanyama up his sleeve.

And me. (Although I'm not sure Pratley would "very likely go back to not giving a shit" - he almost always tried hard, he just wasn't very good.)

Still quite a bit less than Bogdan's rumoured wage; if we can afford just under 18k for an offer to Bogdan, 12k for Amos is a no brainer. As for #2 Jussi could be a shout assuming he's realistic with his wages, would be a good mentor for young Amos too. Other possible players from a cursory glance could be Stipe Pletikosa - good heritage, nearing the end of his career so might be low on wage expectations; Mark Bunn - 30 year old ex Blackburn and Norwich keeper. Been #2 option for a few seasons now at Norwich so might be on the lower end of the wage scale.
I'd be fkn astonished if Jussi accepted as little as £6kpw. But as you note, there'll be others around who'll take it. As the wage bill shrinks I wouldn't want to spend much of it on someone who's rarely going to get sweat in his socks.

Rumour about Wilson Palacios joining on a free

Now this would be a good signing IMO if there is any truth in it....not sure why he'd come to Bolton, I would imagine other clubs would be interested and I would have also thought his wages would be way out of our league, good player though and only 30 years old
