Chucked it in the freezer for a little while to get it cooler than room temp. Hit the spot nicelyPrufrock wrote:You fridge it or garage?Harry Genshaw wrote:Good shout. Really enjoyed it. Not sure I could neck more than a couple thoughHarry Genshaw wrote:Cheers. I'll give it a goPrufrock wrote:If you're a lager drinker you'll probably prefer it from the fridge, but it'll taste of less. Your best bet is to stick in the garage or somewhere not heated so it's a bit cooler than room temp (cellar temp, 11-12° in new money, ideally).

Bruce. Quite why I'm posting this I'm not sure, but I saw it on James Martin this morning and for some weird reason, it appealed. I don't even drink red wine normally, but you do, so..

Bought a teppanyaki griddle and we sat round cooking our own marinaded salmon, chicken and steak last night. Loved it. Best 25 quid I've spent in a while.

Thai green curry in the slow cooker. Chicken, vegetable stock, mushrooms, spring onions, curry paste, soya sauce and fish sauce. All bunged in and left for 7 hours. An absolute triumph

Saw this on the regional news last night.
I would absolutely love to do this. Problem is, I don't know any muslims.

None whatsoever, I'm afraid, Chap. Although I work with people of a variety of nationalities, everyone in the entire company is a white (presumably) non-Muslim. And where I live even the shopkeepers are all white (presumably) non-Muslims. I haven't engineered this, it's just how it is.Gary the Enfield wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:Saw this on the regional news last night.

I guess I'm shocked as I live in a community where all kinds of religious and social divides exist it does surprise me when I hear you say you know NO Muslim people at all.

Being a greedy bugger, I'm not keen on fasting. I prefer sharing Jewish holidays which are all in a similar vein ("We were persecuted. God saved us. Let's eat!).Bruce Rioja wrote:Saw this on the regional news last night.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Yom Kippur is a fast but a) it is one day compared to a month of Ramadan and b) it is preceded and followed by some pretty impressive meals. I don't associate Passover with fasting - I am generally invited (token goy) to a Passover meal called a seder during which there is quite a bit of ritual but also a lot of food. However, I'm not an expert - both New Year and Passover last about a week in all and I only go to the meals.Gary the Enfield wrote:Montreal Wanderer wrote:Being a greedy bugger, I'm not keen on fasting.
