I only had him down as our joint best keeper prior to the end of the season anyhow. Given we unloaded the other one on a free too, I think we'll end up "ok" in this department, unless we sign a complete numpty.Dr Hotdog wrote:Lennon's gonna have to put a brave face on and hope that Amos is ready for the pressure and expectation that comes with being BWFC's first choice GK. Providing he signs on that is.

Amos is a good keeper and is ready for first team action.
When Bogdan first broke into the first team during our relegation season, the amount of errors he made were countless. He's got better, but I'm not massively disappointed he's left.

So many, in fact, he was voted player of the season.Jugs wrote:Amos is a good keeper and is ready for first team action.

Aye - like Tim Ream. The folks who do that vote, must watch something completely different than I see.

No pitch side big smile holding a shirt yet like but the daily mail online is reporting Amos has signed. And that some fella called Dougie Freedman tried to hijack the deal last minute but failed.
Businesswoman of the year.

Boggers won player of the season we went down?! Seriosuly?! That speaks fecking volumes, and not about how good he is!
Good luck to him, wish he'd have stayed but it's hard to be too upset at any of the recent lot disappearing.

Sounds like he has an eye for a player, that one. Could be worth keeping an eye onCrazyHorse wrote:No pitch side big smile holding a shirt yet like but the daily mail online is reporting Amos has signed. And that some fella called Dougie Freedman tried to hijack the deal last minute but failed.

That's harsh for me. I didn't realise he'd been here for 8 years. That's 8 years service for a small fee and he is a lot better than people give him credit for, somewhat amazingly in this day and age, often because he's got red hair.CrazyHorse wrote:Good riddance to the ginger tw*t.
The guy did alright for us, saved us an awful lot of points and didn't for me, cost us too many. I wish the lad well and hope he has a great stint at Anfield. For me he deserves a shot at it.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Will miss Boggers. Went from being 3rd choice behind Jussi and Al-Habsi to No. 1...when he wasn't injured. Hope he does well at Liverpool and doesn't just sit on the bench. Just a shame we couldn't get a ridiculous fee for him!

I'll hazard a guess it'll be quite some time before we have an international goalkeeper on our books again.

Aye and there ain't too many out there that's managed to let 8 in, in an international, in one game.

Against a rampant Dutch side who easily topped their group in qualifying for last year's World Cup (and went on to finish 3rd in Brasil).Worthy4England wrote:Aye and there ain't too many out there that's managed to let 8 in, in an international, in one game.

He wasn't close to being the least shit! He was fecking wank the year we went down, and a large part of why we did. When he wasn't letting anything Frank Lampard hit go in he was concedieg to Tim Howard or dropping it at Walters' feet.throwawayboltonian wrote:Yep, although that year it was more "Player who was the least $hit" award. I actually did not know a single fan who could confidently name a player who deserved it. The response was normally a tepid "well, Bogdan did alright I guess...".Prufrock wrote:Boggers won player of the season we went down?! Seriosuly?! Absolutely not his fault, mind,, he was a kid clearly not ready (Owen Coyle in being f*cking useless shock) but player of the season? Sweet mother of mercy.
Turned into a good in though

That's the kind of team you'll come up against as a *cough* intentional goalkeeper.Dr Hotdog wrote:Against a rampant Dutch side who easily topped their group in qualifying for last year's World Cup (and went on to finish 3rd in Brasil).Worthy4England wrote:Aye and there ain't too many out there that's managed to let 8 in, in an international, in one game.

All the best Bogdan and congrats on your new contract. Hope you do well and that you will mention the role we played in your development when you become #1 there.knobby wrote:And Boggers officially departs. Cest la vie

Wigan Athletic have pipped Bolton to the free transfer of Rotherham United defender Craig Morgan, who has signed a two-year contract
