Technically, I think this conversation falls within the remit of this thread.

Can I just ask in the squad list who have gone to Austria, who is Niall Maher??
Re: So, who's up & coming ?
You lot are confused; they changed it while I was there! I went from 1st Form to Year 8. I always was bright
.
Tbf, I can't see why you'd change it, they both make sense. Folk changing language because its easier than changing things. "Look, we're doing something."

Young - very young, he's 16 - Alex Samizadeh made his U21 debut today and scored. He's already scored six in four U18 games this season.

Rooney made his debut at 16. I'm definitely of the mindset that if he's good enough he should go into the squad. He can't do any worse?
Pfffft.

With young Zach, Woollery, Jamie Thomas and this kid there is something to look forward to. Oh ... & Vaz Te
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: So, who's up & coming ?
If he is good enough he'll get a chance. But there is a huge gap in level to bridge. Also throwing kids into things they're not ready for can easily stunt their careers early on. All about timing.TKIZ! wrote:Rooney made his debut at 16. I'm definitely of the mindset that if he's good enough he should go into the squad. He can't do any worse?
Look at Clough he got a chance at exactly the right time. If he'd been thrown in for the first time, the start of this season with the performances so far, he'd basically be written off pretty quickly. But he got a chance at the right time and now we all know what he is capable of and more importantly he knows he can do it at this level, despite going through a rough patch right now.

Vela - how many great games has he had for us? Looked competent for a while at right back. Had a couple of promising games in midfield very early on under Coyle.thebish wrote:aye - now Vela's gone to cak!bobo the clown wrote:With young Zach, Woollery, Jamie Thomas and this kid there is something to look forward to. But he's not established himself as being a good enough player to play week in week out in his favoured position for a struggling championship side. He's not turned cack or whatever, I just think he's been overhyped and overrated for what he currently is. He's definitely got a good career if he wants it, but has definite work to do on several aspects of his game.
Re: So, who's up & coming ?
Aye - but you also have to consider the possibility that I said he had gone to cak merely to entertain Bobo (aka Vela's grandad!)
