Well, this was just for me, not guests, but I'd return the compliment against an evening with some of your choices.Bruce Rioja wrote:Thankfully, I don't expect to ever be invited round to yours!TANGODANCER wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MHpx6EwEm0

I'm delighted to announce, after an 8 month break, Little Mix are nearly ready to return to the limelight. During that time, they wrote 300 songs from which their new album tracks will be selected. That's one a day and three at weekends. Can't wait...Screams quality.

^^^ unmissable eh Keyser.
God, I hope they make it to Wrexham.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I thought they were a bit better than Keyser's normal offerings...Bruce Rioja wrote:Me too, and no fecking further!bobo the clown wrote:^^^ unmissable eh Keyser.

Battles are top-notch live. Saw them once at 4am at Primavera in Barcelona.
John Stanier is one of my favourite drummers. Tight and no let up.

I don't really keep that up to date with new bands, but heard this lot on 6 music not long ago and thought they sounded ace. Very Pixies/Breeders/Belly-esque if you're into that sort of stuff.

I'll try to make the Wrexham gig...

Mourning their apparent break-up, today and tonight will be lots of the Weakerthans.

ATTN: Bruce, Bobo, Worthy.
Battles are playing the Academy in October. Looks like they might make it past Wrexham after all... See you all, there?
In other news, I am deliriously in love with the album Measure by Field Music. Definitely in my top 20 LPs from the last 15 years.

Are they the guys associated with The Futureheads? Like either they shared band members or were workign together a lot? Remember seeing them about 7/8 years ago, their sound seems to have changed a lot!

Death Cab for Cutie, for which I am immensely grateful to Bruce for the intro. Always invokes memories of a long drive back from Gatwick returning from Marseille and an awesome few days in some of the best company I've ever had. Happy times.
