2015/16 pre-season

Re: 2015/16 pre-season
For me, AT has nailed it. This season will stand or fall on how we defend. I think we have the creativity and work rate to score goals, if we can keep key players fit. What we haven't yet got is a settled back 3, 4 or 5. Still think we need a centre back and a right back.

Which will be why having Pratley fit will be so important. Killing space, so we can pick up loose balls - Spearing too, for all his faults and being generally shit at football.Dr Hotdog wrote:You and me both, those lads have to receive the ball if they're to do any damage on the front foot!Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Yes, totally agree. With a bit of luck Clayton will continue his progress too. It's further back that I'm most worried about!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:In all seriousness, if those two get on the same wavelength (and pitch, obvs) they could have some real fun in this division.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Noticed Clough arrived with Mavies. Lets hope they don't end up hanging out too much
Looking at the energy that Lennon wants and our attacking players need, there'll be zero room for Danns next season - He looked thoroughly burned out second half of last season ans laboured like fvck

Agree that he can't be flogged to death as he was, but I think he could still be useful as cover - whether as a half-hour sub, or playing for the first hour of the game, or just rotated in as others need a rest. If we're going Hi-NRG, we'll need more than an XI.boltonboris wrote:Looking at the energy that Lennon wants and our attacking players need, there'll be zero room for Danns next season - He looked thoroughly burned out second half of last season ans laboured like fvck

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It's 'boating' for all I care.
Do like these videos their media team does, it's a lot more than most clubs get. Nice to see them working their bollocks off, too!

I see argument-in-an-empty-room Raymond Verheijen has been trolling us for our training methods.

The videos didn't seem that bad. Sunny weather, bit of biking, bit of kicking footballs, bit of paddling. I think one of the new intake also said it had been pretty easy so far. I was actually thinking that it looked like a nice idea for the next holiday.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Just arrived in the village......and I mean village. This has to be the most picturesque ground I've ever been to. By the side of a gorgeous lake, tiny village church at the top of a fookin steep hill. 2nd Weissbeir freshly poured
