You can lounge on your deck and get sunburn, cool off in the pool, snorkel on the house reef (lots of sharks and turtles around this island). You stuff your face with excellent food and drink, maybe visit the spa, make use of the kayaks (dunno if they are sea kayaks or otherwise). You can go diving, sailing and various other excursions.

The best thing about the place is to listen to nothing but the lapping of the ocean, with a gentle breeze and a good book. There is hardly anyone around, so the peace and quiet is quite special. It's the perfect antidote to living in a mental place like Dubai :)

I'm building a website at the moment as a guide to the resorts there. It's such a unique destination that I'm hoping it will help people differentiate between the resorts as it can be difficult choosing. website isn't finished yet, but some of the photos of the resorts I've been to can be found here for anyone interested - https://www.flickr.com/photos/131723121@N08/sets/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

A bit of solitude, the sound of the sea and warm sunshine is good for the soul. Modern life can be go go go and time out from that I believe does you good. I never used to like doing nothing, but as I get older I value time out more and more :)

Occasionally. Supply. Some call it a career crossroads, but I've never met anyone who stood at a crossroads for 2 years!

Our girl back in work next week so has to be home. Dropped her off at Skiathos airport at 1.30 local time and she's still there five hours later. Latest estimate for return flight is about 7.30, but the aircraft is still inbound somewhere! Enter Air, never again!

On the plus side me and Mrs C have a week on our own now

Bum. Always awful, just killing time. Hopefully she can stay outside the airport confines.

fwiw - Small Planet Airlines to Cephalonia were fine, so no reason to fear. Spot on time going out, 45 min late back, but we had a drink & a bite in a small bar by the airport.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We left her airside as she passed through security, staying in touch via messenger and mid-type she just sent that she has been called to board! Maybe in Manc at a reasonable time after all.

That's because I broke in earlier in the week. I was living there for a few days and drunk most of his wine and beer.
