You had breakfast before PR?

Couldn't make today's run as the car was in for a service in Bolton. Fcuk me! 2.5 hours in Bolton town centre was an eye opener!! The ratio of normal to scrotey feck* being in the region of at least 1:10 The 'highlight' being a woman with butterflies tattooed on her face (yes, I did say face!) and a dog's paw print on her arm, with the name 'Pepsi' tattooed below it. OMFG!!

Currently carb loading before heading out to watch the b in law compete in the iron man. He's done the first half of the swim in about the time he was expecting but it's going to be grim on the bike in these conditions

Will do! He did the swim in 1.30 & was looking fresh on the bike albeit only 5 miles in. Once again this year I was amazed at seeing fat blokes come whizzing past on the bikes, who you'd think would have no chance of getting to the start line in such shape, let alone be smashing it

Had a good laugh at the half a dozen outraged motorists (locals) who were demanding to be let through the closed roads. It's only been advertised for the last 3 months  . Off out again soon to catch the latter parts of the cycling.

My friends husband has done the swim in 1.21 which is much faster than the 1.30 that he was hoping for. He's ahead of time on his first bike split time too.

No, mate. I was out for a skinful with Beaver End on Friday, assisting him on his mission to cure lesbians. Nobody at Hectic House, myself included, woke up til 11:30 on Saturday morning so, having missed the PR, we went for brekkers. Then, when I got home I felt kind of 'in debt' to the tune of 5K, so did two laps of the park at the back of mine (avec heartburn).

Oh, and whilst I remember, I've re-calibrated my Nike+ dooins, so we'll see what distance it gives next Saturday.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

They're called M.A.M.I.L.s but you wouldn't want to milk one.

My mate did the swim in 1.23 and the bike in just under 7 hours. Looks like he's struggling on the run, currently just over half way in 3 hours. He's a good runner so I'm guessing he's picked up an injury.

Quick update. He finished in just under 14 hours. He struggled on the run where he is usually strongest but he's happy just to have finished. This time next year...........

B in L finished with half an hour to spare and looking quite fresh. I was quite sceptical last year when I heard he entered it but he stuck to a rigid plan and avoided injury. A great achievement.

It was a great atmosphere around the town last night, and not spoiled by bumping into LE rather the worse for wear (again!) but I wish it got more national attention.

Not sure LE being worse for wear is really that worthy of national attention! ;)

Yes. I will be dragging my sorry excuse for a body around the course. Then eating an amount equal to said body for breakfast afterwards!

Getting in preparation for your Sussex track debut on Wednesday?! :) I've got you down for the pole vault and the 400m hurdles, I hope that's ok ;)

So I've wasted my time practising the 8 other events? I was expecting to follow in the footsteps of HHH most famous son! :conf:
